Kung-Fu for all! Use your many abilities to just slaughter your opponents, credits are in the quest log.

Update 1.05:
There are now game modes to choose from.
-ni (No items)
-ngd (No gold drops)
-x (10, 20, 40, 50, 100) For number of kills required to win. This mode is required in order for the game to end.

Text now shows up in the beginning of the map to show the game modes.
Text now appears to show that a game mode has been chosen.
Game modes now overlap eachother and must be chosen in the first 60 seconds of the game, or else the kill limit will be defaulted to 30.

The Terrain has been changed, to look better and to keep the sides balanced.

I like the idea of this its just that the guys move too fast for you to hit them with your spell, the kick spell is a bit rigged. It should slow not stun. I don't like the health gems because their too rigged... I think you should either make their price higher or get rid of them... just my opinion.

bounty hunter2's Review on Kung-Fu Fighting

Kung-Fu Fighting 1.06 is an interesting approach to a Hero Arena map, where you take one hero and try to score as many kills as possible, using only attack/block skill and later some spells.

I won't go into a full review, since we didn't play it for long, however I noticed quite some problems, I will mention them only.

To start, I must mention that the terrain is bad. Too plain, flat, void of dodoads and height. It is basically and empty board that should be improved. You didn't place hotkeys for heroes in taverns. The block ability doesn't have a hotkey aswell. The tooltips for heroes are too short. The game said it took the automatic score of 30 kills when we didn't select any. However then when Rui killed me, it says he won. He killed me only once. To continue, I must say that the death animation for an attack looks plain stupid, since it drops blood.

In conclusion, an interesting idea, done poorly. It contains too much problems, and for that reason, my vote is 1/5 and Rejection.

This is version 1.06 of "Kung-Fu Fighting", a map by I Need a Name.
In this map, your objective is to defeat the enemy using a Kung-Fu fighter. You possess an attack skills, as well as several other abilities, which will become available as you gain mana (which starts at 0). I couldn't understand if it came from kills or if it regenerated over time.

I confess, after me and bounty hunter2 played the map, I didn't know what to do to it. I killed bounty's Kung-Fu fighter and I won. Like he said, we thought that the winning condition was 30 kills.

The attacks threw yourself into a point, also leaving a dead body at the spot. Their area was so small that I think we'd need a lot of time if the winning condition was 30 kills. I only killed bounty because he was stopped, testing the hotkeys, which were apparently not working.


My rating is 1,5/5, approximately 2 (Lacking). Its status will be set to Rejected.

Thank you for your constructive criticism. I have a few responses to your remarks.
1. About the terrain, if you have any terrain ideas PLEASE tell me. I have been having trouble thinking of ideas for that.
2. I didn't put hotkeys for the heroes in the taverns because their all the same, they just look different.
3. The game takes 30 kills automatically AFTER 60 seconds, or is it 30 seconds? Now that you've mentioned that i will place all the heroes in a starting box with them being invulnerable until a mode is chosen.
4. Mana. You gain 1 mana every 60 seconds and along with every kill. I shall say this in the loading screen.
5. I wasn't sure how to make the attack spell. I tryed using shockwave then triggering it. It didn't work. Then i tried cluster rockets. That seemed to work but it leaves a corpse. Even if I made the AOE of the attack spell bigger it wouldn't work anyways. Simply because cluster rockets deals damage where the specific rocket hits. Any help on the supject would be appreciated.
6. The hotkeys are as follows:
Attack - (a)
Block - (d)
Spell book - none
Spells in the spell book - none.
I will add hotkeys for all abilities in the next update.
Thank you for someone finally responding. If I fix these problems can the map become un-rejected?

Ok, a bug report:
When I played single player and combined the greater boots, it gave me 5 pairs, 4 on my hero and one on the ground.
Also, I can't combine the stuff unless the only item in my inventory is the required item. That kinda sucks no?
Anyway, wouldn't a melee attack be more fitting in a Kung Fu Fighting map? I made a simple attack-in-front-of-you spell for you to use, just change the condition of the trigger. And use a different spell, Warstomp has that ground-sinkish effect.
I also included an improved recipe system :) It doesn't require stuff to be in inventory slot 1 and 2 and stuff.

Well in case you haven't noticed, I added a Melee Attack spell. Credits to Zack1996. This makes it much easier to kill the other players. Not to mention that the Hotkeys DO work now. Instead of just naming 1 problem I already stated I don't know how to solve and a problem that already IS fixed, why don't you post something helpful as well as critical. Hell, to make it easier to hit each other, I decreased the movement speed DRASTICALLY. That still isn't enough?
