Jaina "Daughter of the Sea" Reforged Skin Dismounted

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
This is a custom model that I made a very long time ago in November of 2019 using the data files from the Reforged Beta. I advertised pictures of the model on one of the first available versions of "Retera Model Studio" for Reforged, but this model was not ever uploaded because at the time when I tried to upload this model to the Hive it did not work, or something like that.

Also, the original version of the model was made with a bugged version of Retera Model Studio that did not completely understand the Reforged format, and so the Hero Glow became bugged and would be the wrong color (always solid white regardless of player color).

In this version, I used that original file that I already had created as a derivative artwork from what was available in the 2019 beta, but I converted this file from MDX900 to MDX1000 and I corrected the color on the Hero Glow so that it should work fine in-game, I believe.

Some people say that the legs don't look quite right. That could be true. I give you full permission to edit it and restyle anything you want, including the legs, in this custom model (it's a derivative of Blizzard's art anyway, and if I'm allowed to make derivatives of things, then you should be allowed the same!).

Edit: Thanks to @Altruistic Anduin for providing me with a copy of the version of this model that was fixed by @Z1003 . Bundle has been updated!

Just out of curiousity, does it work for those that didn't buy the Edition of the game that had the 4 extra skins? Did I waste my money even more so? :D

@Wlarius

I haven't checked but I'm like 95% sure that the meaning of buying the skins is the right to display them to another player in a multiplayer game, NOT a distinction about whether or not the files are present on your computer. This is necessary so that if someone else buys the skin, then they can "show it off" to you. So, yes, it's a moddable game and every file the game is capable of rendering is included in the in-game database.

It was never going to be any other way. I don't know why you would've expected it would be... That would not have been very technically informed.

Edit: Fixed a typo to say "show it off"

Very good Retera. By the way, everyone has access only to the assembled version, so good that you remembered to upload it to the community. Another thing, if you had time to relax ... you could do the reverse for some the paladins (human), insert them in mounted versions. The modders around here by Hive have only been concerned with desmount or remount for Death'sKnight. lol
In RMS. I'm still crawling on manipulating animations... For MdlVis i'm already much more practical, the domain is almost total in the animations.

With its textures and polygons in "hands", you can have all the models you can imagine in your W.E!
I see no reason to buy a much more expensive Reforged version just to get 4 new models ... which would certainly be available in less than 1 month from launch ... Model is the most coveted thing of the unofficial groups and more quickly distributed. In the South American groups there are already all the Reforged models converted, bones fix and reissued with TC, all to classic form .Mdx, including the 4 "special" skins.
And... of course, the Spoils version has a lot more options to offer.

Hey is there a way I can replace Jaina model with this one? I want to replace the model for my campaign but can I do it only by importing it via map editor for each map or can I replace the files somewhere in the games directory folder?
In the past, you needed to add Wc3 to allow local files, and then place the folders directly in the game's root folder.
At Reforged I think you can do this directly, but the local files should go to "_retail _".
Just create the folder named "_ retail_" in the root folder of the game, insert the models into it with the paths of the folders you want. The next time you open the World Editor, use the exact Folders/Files extension as you put in "_ retail_".
Note: All the standard models Reforged can also be replaced inside this one, you just need to insert the replacement model in the retail folder, with all the sub-folders matching exactly the description of its original directory. Ex.: "units\human\Footman\Footman.mdx".

All models can be replaced inside her.

I found it, it works great. Thank you!

Yea. Would not be difficult to make a better portrait, or maybe you could use the original Jaina of the Sea portrait.
The portrait kind of freaked me out at first
I tried Jaina of the sea portrait with this model as you suggested and it works great, thank you!
