Iron Age
The map was created based on such games as: Civilization, Age of Empires, Stronghold, Tzar, Knight and Merchants.

You start in the ancient era and can finish the evolution in the modern time.

Gameplay
You start the game with the main building and one scout. Your task is to capture as many territories as possible. The map and the resources are generated. Your workers will automatically build buildings on the occupied territory, you only need to build yourself 3 main ones: Barracks, Academy and City Square. Then you only need to build defensive structures.

Income
The more territories you capture, the bigger your income will be. Each building on the point gives a different amount of resources. The iron mine will bring the weapons needed to build troops, and the stone mine will bring gold. You need to capture everything that is visible!

War and alliances

You can make alliances, but know that they are temporary. There can only be one winner on the map.

Units are divided into several types: Infantry, Archers, Light Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry, Anti-Cavalry, Anti-Archers, Siege Weapons, Ships.
Light cavalry kills archers, anti-cavalry kills cavalry, ballistas kills anti-cavalry, etc. There is no strong unit here. For everyone there is a counteraction.
The system of units and ships will immediately be remembered by fans of AoE 2.

Killing units and buildings, as well as exploring technologies, you get win points. If the game time is set initially, will end. The winner will be the one with the most win points.

Eras

You start in the era of ancient antiquity and finish the game in modern time. Each era opens up new types of troops and upgrades for them. Therefore, it is important to move into new eras as early as possible. There are 6 epochs in total, from a stick to a firearm. Don't let the invaders shoot you with guns, don't be Indians!

The map is very dynamic and will not let you sit too long! The focus is on waging war. If not the players attack you, then the barbarians!

It was recently translated into English, so there may be errors and Russian text in the game.

A credits list in the map description with the names of the authors whose resources you've used is mandatory. That includes models, skins, icons, custom spells, systems. Also, sounds, music and everything outside this site.
This helps you with the models, skins and icons from Hiveworkshop: Resources in Use by Iron Age: v2.3a! | HIVE

The map must be in English. Bilingual ones are allowed.

Awaiting Update.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
