Current VERSION: V3V: Released 2-26-12.

In this map, you basically work together as a team to take down a certain number of impossible (not literally impossible, but challenging) bosses (8 on very easy, 9 on easy, 10 on normal) while dodging projectiles and surviving each bosses lethal ultimate ability. The bosses will use all kinds of spells and projectiles with the goal of killing you. As you ramp up the difficulty, you'll find that it becomes incredibly challenging and requires more and more teamwork. Each boss requires different tactics in order to beat, and you'll find that each new boss brings surprises and thrills which will keep you on the edge of your seat.

You get to choose from 10 classes:

  • Death Knight

Each class has its own unique abilities and role to serve in helping the team succeed. Planning strategies and working together as a team are crucial in winning boss fights. If you play public games, you'll most likely find yourself feeling frustrated because you're losing to one of the earlier bosses on Very Easy because your team is full of newbies. This is where the Impossible Bosses clans come in. IB (Impossible Bosses) clans are a great way to get better at the game, meet funny new people and beat its higher difficulties. The official IB clans are:

As you can see, this game is quite intense at higher difficulties and Asians are usually the first to beat the game on the difficulty Normal. As of version V3M, Demonic has been 90% re-done, and Psyris still plans on adjusting him.

Very Easy difficulty

Hard difficulty

+Bosses' will have increased damage reduction (10/25 35/50 60/70%)

+Players will receive no esssences.

-Weapon Expertise replaced with Expose Weakness: Increase the damage a boss takes from all hero abilities by 50%. Lasts 20 seconds or until 1500 damage has been caused by the effect. 3 minute cooldown.
-Backstab renamed to Killer Instinct; No longer has a passive effect. Now causes attacks to drain 8 energy (no more backstabbing) and increases attack damage by 90.
-Basic attacks now restore 4 energy
-Assassinate now does 20% additional damage if it is a backstab
-Assassinate now gains 25 up from 15 damage per ability point (Rogue’s overall DPS per ability point increased to 8 from 6)
Priest
-Divine Light now heals 100% and restores 100 mana instantly. Cooldown increased to 70 from 40
Paladin
-Divine Fury mana restore on attack increased to 10 from 6
-Heal; healing amount lowered to 500 from 550, bonus healing on units within Sanctuary aura increased to 150 from 100, mana cost increased to 29 from 24 and no longer has a bonus healing effect on units under 20%

Druid
-VERA – all blue orbs now fire simultaneously at the start of cast (one targeting each player)
-VIRTUE birds will no longer touch the boss if cast on the edge of arena

Light
-Health reduced to 11,000 from 33,000
-Divinity now starts with 2 charges, restores 100% of his health, and keeps his energy at the same level.
Ulting will add a charge on E+ if current charges are greater than 0
-When Divinity has 1 charge left Remington will gain a passive regen (100 hp per sec) on E+
-Revive is a little more dangerous
-RAPTURE (M+) – when Divinity has no charges left, RAPTURE will begin powering up. Every 4 seconds a pillar will light up.
If all pillars light up, the boss will cast this ending the fight in defeat for the players


Shadow
-SIPHONSEAL now explodes after 2 .5 seconds and restores 170 of the bosses’ health for each spirit caught in it.
3 spirits are now instantly created with the seal and rotate on the perimeter.
-AWAKEN now emits a reddish shadow when it’s ready to cast
-EXTRACTSOUL damage per sec upped to 450 from 375 (M+)
-TERROR damage upped from 160 per sec to 300 and duration lowered to 6 seconds

Ancient
-Uprooted weakstate duration increased to match first weakstate (8 seconds)
-ANCIENTBLAST – cast time increased to 1 from .75
-Inferno / Obliv will no longer damage caster extra during weakstate and the amount of damage they deal will now show

Demonic
-Demonic no longer has Shadow Affinity
-Bug that caused demon form to rapid fire fixed
-Denying now properly does an extra 2000 damage if you have the Unstable debuff
-Pandomonium’s movement speed now increases by 30 every time he is denied. Movement speed will reset after Demonform.

-Clones will no longer instantly die when boss changes forms

-New ability VOIDSLAM – boss charges a player and on impact create a large aoe push back.
Clones are now killed instantly causing a 1 sec delayed weak CRUSH at their position.
-CHAOS V now creates 18 up from 8 units and turns clones into voids. Voids move slowly and rapidly damage players in them.
On death they will cast a weaker version of CHAOS V.
-DRAINLIFE renamed to MALADY – Damage upped to 3500 from 1250 damage per second.
Spell will now take priority on units with the highest current health.
-REDEATH is now weaker to start. This ability now has the potential to be cast more frequently and multiple times in a row.
Clones will now amplify the power of this ability by becoming large red orbs that the boss pulls toward himself.
The boss can now move during its cast.

ITEMS
-2 new rare scrolls
-Druid can now carry Inferno and Deathguard
-Omega, Inferno, and Oblibion will now display the damage they dealt in floating text
-Oblivion; target aoe increased to 130 from 100, damage will now be dealt over 4 seconds up from 2, and health will no longer be reduced by 99%.
For every point of damage that misses or is reduced you will take 1 damage.
-Armor:Deathguard CD lowered to 45 from 55, health requirement removed, and mana cost increased to 35 from 20
-Armor:Corrupt now increases damage by 60 and lowers health by 500
-Charm:Surrender - Activate to drain 60 of the bosses energy per second for 7 seconds. Your mana will be
drained instantly, but it will be restored after the duration.
-Charm:Soulstealer duration increased to 14 from 8 seconds
-Charm:Serenity - ward health increased to 3000 from 500 and mana cost removed
-Charm:Martyr - health sacrifice lowered to 15% from 20% and gold cost lowered to 10 from 15
-Charm:protection - invulnerability duration lowered to 1.5 from 2 and cooldown increased to 50 from 40
-Bow:Demise attack damage lowered to 15 from 30
-New item Staff : Nature (Druid only)

CLASS
Warrior
-New Ability: Charge - Dash towards target point at an incredible speed. Has a 750 cast range.

Death Knight
-Defile now records healing done
-Reanimate cooldown lowered to 50 from 90
-Casting Obliterate will now remove Shadow Guard invul
-Siphon Strike now does purely physical damage instead of 50/50 magic/physical
-Defile now does chaos damage (100% against all armors but Resilient)
-Shadow Step now grants a 75% move speed boost for 2 seconds
-Unholy Power reworked; Activate to cause unholy energy to pour out of you distributing 1000 health every sec for 4 sec to allies in
range (220). Health restored per second for a single unit will not exceed 500. 31 second CD.

Druid
-Star Strike energy degen raised to 25 from 15 and scaling increased to 30 from 15
-Maul; CD raised from 4 to 7, damage raised from 200 to 350, energy depletion raised from 15 to 35, and scaling raised from 12 to 14
-Maul will deal an additional 145 damage if its target’s health is 20% or lower
-Virtue effect added; Target will regenerate 3.5 (1 for Rogue) mana per second.

Fire Mage
-Incinerate damage output raised and spell reworked; Unleash a fireball that will deal 234 damage on impact and cause the target to burn for 4 seconds dealing 39 damage per second.
-Scorch energy degen lowered to 5 from 10
-Scorch damage lowered to 240 from 260

Ice Mage
-New Ability: Cold Shoulder – Slide at a high speed toward target enemy dealing 365 damage on impact.
-Freezing Field now does 40% down from 60% to units aligned with Ice / Water
-Insta Cold damage lowered to 215 from 255
-Spirit Charge duration buffed to 14 from 8
-Spirit Charge removed and added to the Ice Staff


Paladin
-Blessing of Salvation replaced by Blessing of Protection; Protect target ally from death for 6 seconds; any damage taken that would
kill them will instead grant them a 2.5 second invulnerability. This buff can not be removed.
-Divine Fury; cooldown / duration lowered and chance to deal damage raised to 100%


BOSSES
Ice
-HIDDENFROST will no longer summon trolls; they will now be summoned every 20 seconds or every 14% damage the boss takes, whichever
comes first

Brute
-Invulnerability duration from powerorbs lowered from 3 to 1 (Very Easy)
-Will no longer gain extra mana when there are no players in range (Very Easy)

Thunder
-Bug that caused COMBUST to be faster on the final pillar fixed
-Will now start in THUNDERFORM on all difficulties and will no longer re-enter it
-THUNDERFORM will now end after one minute if pillars aren't destroyed (Very Easy)
-RAEZON burst damage lowered to 750 from 1500 (Very Easy)

Druid
-Will now only enter rage mode (constant form changing) on Moderate+ difficulty
-Arcane armor will no longer activate for Normal form (Very Easy / Easy)
-Will no longer stay in birdform under/at 20% (Very Easy / Easy)
-Battlechant will no longer provide invulernability (Very Easy)
-VERA accuracy increased and speed lowered slightly
-VERA - Blue orbs will now fire at the start of the cast and in bursts; one for each target on the field

Shadow
-SOULFIRE now has a cooldown
-EXTRACTSOUL now uses a new unit model

Water
-TORNADOCALL will now call every tornado only on Moderate+ difficulty
-SUBMERGE aoe reduced and burst-like effect added

ANCIENT
-On M+ Ancient will uproot with full health AFTER being killed in weakened state
-Can now only be killed during weakstate
-Ancient Spirit health lowered to 14000 from 35000
-Attack damage during uprooted form lowered to 750 from 1000
-Number of owls created by SPIRITFORCE during uprooted phase lowered to 2 from 4
-Owls created by SPIRITFORCE will now pause and gain invulnerability when ult starts
-ANCIENT NOVA replaced with ANCIENT BLAST for uprooted form

-Lowered summoning frequency under 25% / after two minutes have passed
-CALLTHESEA now has a 16 sec CD instead of firing instantly when the amount of summons get low
-Summons will not cast on units with Essence invulnerability
-CRUSH will not stun during ult
-Tornados will now turn dark blue when being called
-WATERSEAL will not be cast for a minimum of 4 seconds after ulting

Druid
-Bombard will not be cast if energy is greater than 75% or boss is under or at 20% health

Yup wondering the same, I tried searching for it on the Hive but ended up with nothing. Can someone confirm if its been removed/deleted or some other reason?

It's been deleted at my request since the person who uploaded it is no longer active. I sent the creator a PM on the official IB forums and he said that it was fine with him that I upload the latest version here. Here's a screenshot to quiet you all down:

I recommend you to have the screenshot to be posted at the main description as a time to time prove.

By the way, please set all those change log into 1 hidden tag instead of making multiple hidden tag for it. It would definitely make it better.

I will try map only if I see very good terrain, or some friend tell me that it is worth to try!

While terrain can be important, you shouldn't only play a map just because it has good terrain; gameplay is what's most important when it comes to how long a game lasts. The gameplay in this map is incredible; you don't have to take my word for it, plenty of people agree with me. :wink: The arena's terrain are also well designed IMO, and suit the mood for each boss perfectly.

Wait a little longer for screenshots, I'll try to have some here by this weekend. Plus, I'll add a video because it would suit this game better since you can see some of the bosses spells in action.

I have never said that map with bad terrain is "bad" pick DOTA for example!

I only said that I want to play maps with good one because I love to terrain! And love to learn something new each time when I check map with good terrain!

I see, yeah I think terraining is awesome I was just stating my opinion that you shouldn't judge a map solely on its terrain and I thought that's what you were inferring to.

I've added 2 screenshots and will continue adding them throughout the week.

I have created a map witch look like this map, but much much more amature. But how do you make the computer do all the spells i have created on my own? When i gave a computer controlled hero some custom spells he didnt use them, why? pls help:)

Just a question. Does anyone know a Impossible Bosses clan on Garena? I know it's a long shot, but my friend can only use Garena and we wanted to see if their was a clan dedicated to this instead of just having random pub players each game.
