Map Description


Recent earthquake revealed valuable treasures which were previously hidden under the ice. You have to hurry as this is your only chance of claiming them.

Icecrown Gorge is 1v1 player map.

- 8 green camps
-12 orange camps
- 2 red camps

I managed to finish at least one of my WIP maps, this time it's ice themed 1v1.

A) creeping route I go to the green creep then the gob lab, I think a low orange would be nice between the green creep and the gob lab.
for a more fluid creep route.
C) I go for the other green camp, then to green near tavern, then I can hijack the other green near tavern, but I think it would be nice to go to the northern lab, the merc. seems strong so I think an orange in the middle could be interesting, so the route would be: green - green - low orange - north gob lab.
D) I go for the green then the goblin market, again I think a low orange (10-11 perma L2) will do conection between the green and the market and or clear the mine.

B expanding system:
first image, if red expands to the center, and blue to the south, is like the north will be empty of action.
but with a red in the center, players will expand oposite, if I in B i can get the red, or hijack the enemy red creep, the other player can do the same, attack my first expanding or go to my main base.

Also I think that when there are 2 mines, players dont know the level before hand, so put a red is = to say this one is harder go to the other mine first.

dont take it serious I am just talking in theory.

I agree, it is a very good map.
-Creeps are and items are balanced. I would at a lvl 1 powerup at the shops.
-Nightelf players will probably not be too happy about the AoW-creeping options.
-The narrow access to the 3-1-1 spiders near the taverns looks like something where surrounds can happen easily, especially against melee heroes. Even though the creeps are weak, this doesnt seem attractive from a risk/reward perspective.
-The two green camps (those which are closest to your base) don't get your first hero to level 2. That's rather unusual. You basically have to take a somewhat risky creepcamp: The trolls at the shops will take a while to be killed because of the double heal (and the reward isnt great either, as mentioned above), and all other camps are more than some earlygame armies can take down. Maybe I'm missing something, but early game creeping looks kinda harder than usual. The suggestions by @WolfFarkas about adding a low orange camp somewhere seem like a good idea.
-I like the layout of the expansions.
-Icecrown isn't exactly my favorite tileset, but I still think the map looks good.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I have changed green camps near your base, so they give lvl 2. I've also added one green camp near the shop as well as a light orange between your base and GobLab. To me, map feels overwhelmed by creeps now, but I guess that's what is meta now.

Regarding a green in the middle, - my theory behind it is as follows: You can hide which comes with a risk of an easy block by enemy, or you can pull those creeps out which means you can be spotted more easily.
