HumanMage - DotA Gambler

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.

I needed a mage model that somehow corresponds to this icon:

Peasant.png

This is not full re-skin but the changes are the face and the ball on the staff,
that is golden,
as the skin is for Gambler.
Tell me please if you have some ideas how to make it nicer.

We do not condone simple retexturing and recoloring works. Read the Skin Submission Rules next time. Set to Substandard!

Lol well I prefer Medivh's model as Gambler more than this one, the skin wasn't bad but it not fitting Gambler well. I will give a 2.5/5 cause you just changed the face texture only and it incomplete.

What doesn't fit? The face or something else?
I cannot use Medivh because he is Rubick.

I have updated beard and changed portrait model, as in the file below.
(Total: 100 KB)
Maybe I shall reduce the eyes a bit.

It would be useful to know your opinion how well it fits (or not) Gambler.

In-game portrait is such that those details did not lead to a better picture for me.
Quite the opposite, by adding nice (that might seem) details made the texture look worse.
I had to make the beard simpler so that it differs from the hair style and remove some pixels one by one.

It is simple, but serves the purpose that a guy from Peasant icon is some mage. HumanMage is not bad by default, and re-skin of the rest is kind of different story, because this number of changes is already found useful.

But instead of so much explanation I would better ask, do you like how the portrait looks? It's in the screenshot.
I would like to fix all details asap and move further faster. : )

I think this is too simple, you even said what you edited from the original.
All you did was match the face with the icon of the peasant.
You still could've used medivh and gave him a totally new look so you can make him different from Rubick as he is called in DotA

Rence Kristoff, taking Rubick and making him Gambler would be inefficient.
First, it would need to double the whole model, that is much higher size. I would like DotA working w/o additional programs.
(I am making modification for 6.83d)
Second, Medivh model is used, HumanMage is not. It is better to use another base model if it's not too bad, and it's not.
(It's similar to Oracle though, but the ears make difference)

Edit:
I shall edit the eyes later.

My modification has all the DotA content. It is 8+MB and I shall need much space in the future.
DotA models are such that they are recognized from WC3. HumanMage with the portrait of peasant is recognized as a human mage with the portrait of peasant, but a total re-skin would not. Obviously, I can add whatever, as the size would be there already, but I do not seem to accomplish anything by this. (Maybe I will change my mind)
As a resource, the skin is useful for everyone who would like to have the same class unit with another face, of a peasant.
