Human Wolf Rider

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.

This is my first ever attempt at creating a custom skin beyond simple recoloring and my first ever model upload to Hive Workshop.

The model is based of the raider from wc3. A separate model had to be made to remove the tusks on the orc. The face and armor of the rider are loosely based off of the human knight, and the wolf is colored white instead of the usual grey. If you want a different colored wolf, photo-editing the provided texture is quite easy.

File-paths for textures (case sensitive):

humanWolfrider.mdx ------------.mdx model file
humanWolfrider_Portrait.mdx ----.mdx portrait file
humanwolfrider.blp --------------.blp texture file

Enjoy!

oh god u dont really think vikings had horns do u?? vikings historically never had horns. its impractical for battles too as it can be easily grabbed or caught by opponents. vikings wearing horns is an urban misconception as vikings would be buried with horned helmets, and archaeologists found these first. just look this topic up in google amd ull find much more

When have I heard something as silly as that? Of course, vikings are considered blood thirtsy tall dwarves in some games. Considering they also have horned helmets: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/pastebin.php?id=h801c1

This is a viking helmet. http://www.wulflund.com/img/goods/en/medium/prilbice-viking-s-ocnicemi_2.jpg
When I think viking, I think something akin to this. http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs38/f/2008/349/d/b/viking_by_kanartist.jpg

Also. Dwarves are not vikings. They never will be. Viking is an old norse term meaning bay-warrior, which came from the fact that they almost always pillaged buildings close to water. Also, you can see that the picture you linked me, that the guy has spent time twirling his hair and shit. There's actually a norse word for "unmanly" that could be said as an insult. The Viking then had to defend his honor as a man and the two would have a fight to the death. If the one who were accused of being unmanly admits defeat instead of accepting death, the man will be exiled. If the man accused of being "unmanly" kills his accuser, the man will have restored his honor and sent a man to valhalla. Thus, no one had a reason to be angry.

You mix up fantasy and reality. Just because dwarves are a part of norse mythology does not make Vikings a fantasy.
