HotS Warcraft Exarch Yrel + alts

Heroes of the Storm High Exarch Yrel by Blizzard Entertainment. She is a character from Warlords of Draenor and currently leader of the Lightbound, a militaristic Light-based army.

This pack currently includes:
- High Exarch Yrel. I assure you her Normals are not backward, although her skin might be darker than the others. Will have to look into this.
- Mad Jester Yrel. Supervillain from the comic/superhero themed world.
- Mechastorm Yrel.
- Mechastorm Pilot Yrel. Sized-up fugly human pilot of the mech. Yes, she's human. Yes, it does look kind of weird. You're not really supposed to be able to see this. Her weapon is the same as the mech's above so you only need to import the skin once if you use both of these models.

Yrel's combat animations are designed to do Attacks 1 through 3 in sequence, but Warcraft 3 is not capable of supporting this out of the box (you can do this with some trickery with animation tags), so she will often jump to different animations and 'break' the flow of the sequences. I'm leaving this as-is because of the above and because I'm not particularly interested in redoing her attack animations.

This pack does not include the spell effects like the Wings nor do the animations include her 'hammer ready' animations since that would end up bloating the file size up by a lot.

ED 4/14/2021: Added loopable Attack variants 'Attack Upgrade'. Add the 'Upgrade' tag to Art-Required Animations if you wish to use them.
ED 7/20/2021: Fixed weapon glow on Pilot Yrel attached to the wrong Weapon node.
ED 8/25/2021: Used alternative method to fix Pilot Yrel's legs to make her animations look better. Subsequently bend her knees in the right direction. This is why goats and humans don't mix.
ED 8/29/2021: Fixed Base Yrel's skin texture.

Fun fact: Yrel's Pilot body is exactly the same as Valla's Pilot body. It's part of the reason it looks nothing like the promo artwork.

Love that someone finally ported Yrel :D

it works great ingame from my testing so good job.


And since you said the wings would bloat the size alot maybe could be a seperate pack or so that does include the wings(if thats even posisble?) then those that do want the wings can have it and if dont want/care about them can still do so aswell.

The wings are a separate model and there's multiple versions of them. I'm not sure how they're attached to the model, but I suspect it goes on an attachment point that's not supported by Warcraft 3 (the "Back" point) so it might be a little more involved than a straight port.

So say if want the wings to work. Would be something like youd port the wings and model seperatly and then you'd have to combine them into 1 with some model editor and have to then further edit so they match up more or less to right location then?

So would likly be quite alot of work for the wings.

That's if you want them to be just like how they are in HotS. If you're not too picky other people have made suitable Wing attachments that can also work as well (although you can argue that the thruster-wings on Mecha Yrel are too unique to pass up on).

On the other hand I haven't delved too much into the effect pieces and there's a good chance you can't do a lot of things in War3.

Well id want the wings mainly for ultimate of yrel and i havnet been able to find any yelow/golden holy wing attachtments here

is it possible that you could make a guide on how to pull out HOTS models with animations? For example, I would really like to pull out Deathwing, he has very cool animations, but I have no idea how to do it. Or maybe you could write me briefly how to do it?

I'm just need to add the model itself to Blender, and then add in addition to the model and its rig? And just place the model in the same place, and then the animations will be working?

I have to warn you, though... the addon is not 100% compatible with the animation calls so you may not be able to get Deathwing's animations intact (I know it doesn't work for Mei or Kel'thuzad).

What do you mean by "change"? Do I have to bind the vertices and triangles of Deathwing's model manually to his skeleton with bones, which I will add to him in the process so that it works much better?

Or maybe I need to do something different with Deathwing so that he works completely well with his animations?

I am grateful to you for the tutorial you created. When I’m free enough, I’ll take up his study and start working on Deathwing :)
