Wanted to make a rather unpathable looking lava tileset, so I made this one. Based off of the lava from Diablo 2. If you want it to be unpathable, write it's path to TerrainArt\Outland\Outland_Abyss.blp , if you want it to be pathable write it to any tile that has a size of 1 in the custom tileset interface in the world editor, a good example would be TerrainArt\Dungeon\Cave_Lava.blp

However! After viewing the Diablo II screenshot, you have captured the diablo II style nicely, and I'm sure any Diablo II map makers will find this extremely usefull :) Approved!

If you use this tileset be sure to give credits to me, 67chrome.

Oh, also - doodads that emit light should be placed on this tile, making torches as small as possible works pretty well. This tileset just looks awful at night time, the white bits really need to be white to make it look deadly XD
If the day/night cycle is disabled and your map is daytime all the time it should look fine though :)

Hmmm.... you might want to re-upload it :) For some reason, theres no preview, and when you download it, no .blp file :O

Looks awesome from the screenshots though :)

weird, ok it should be fixed now.

mwahaha, molten cheese of doom ftw XD
Lava is one of those wierd things in games, it looks totally different in each one. Diablo II had one of my favorite looking lavas, so meh. Had to brighten it a bit though because Diablo's color pallet is reaaaly desaturated.

Actually there are 44 water textures for a single water type ^^ They aint really big. So no prob with that really
, than I thought right, 44 is really much but I could remember that they were indeed small, quess I will have a look at it.

EDIT

Looked at it, and if you would change 1 single water type: 44 x ~ 22kb (blp) = ~970kb (excluding the filesize saved when imported in world editor). Only for sinple player or campaign recommended.

Ya, I remember thinking about doing a custom water texture, and then thinking not when i saw the vast quantity of water skins XD
Besides, with making them flow together in a decent animation sequence it would be a total bitch to do, i seriously doubt any modder ever will attempt that.

I think there are only 7-8 skins for the water-elemental though; but again with getting them to look right and work together, would be a royal pain.

Follow the yellow brick road much? Hahaha lol j/k At first glance thats what I thought it was before I saw the name.

Looks kind of neat but I can't recall where in diablo 2 I have seen this, I'm guessing act 4 but I can't remember is being there. I was too busy slaying demons with my host of furry friends so I may not have noticed. lol

4/5, Well done.

Jake

my biggest problem with it, is how it has a serious lack of variety, and tends to look very very repeated over and over, and im not exactly sure why. or how you could even fix that, there are only 2 variations, and while I under stand you where building a skin for a size 1 tile texture, a size 2 tile texture skin exactly like this but with more variations sure would be superior to this.

and the torch glow solutions super buggy as omni lights such id suggest using tinted orange hero glows as I am instead.

decent skin, better then anything I could make, but could be more variant.
