Hopper Mine

Made this after being inspired by the Hoppers (jumping mine) in Half Life 2

Updated!
The model now disappears correctly, the explosion is moved so it shows up correctly and added some extra good stuff. Now its a more sci-fi (or advanced) explosion. It also appear very nice if used as a chain reaction :wink:

Unneeded textures deleted from the model mdl.

Werewulf: Approved, this model was tested and since I fixed it up to be approvable and Baron reuploaded it so it isnt buried I am approving it. Good job and Im glad is finally back all together and given a fresh start from reupload.

You are fucking reading my mind, RED BARON. I was looking for an explosive model and didn't find any, I wanted it to be a jumping mine like SC Vulutre's spider mine. And I came across THIS. I thought it was an old model but you updated it right when I need that model.

Well, I can make icons but it is better for the creator to create an icon of his model, so yes I would appreciate it.

What do you use for a mine to show up and jump on an enemy like the spider mine of the vuluture? So far I use a place goblin mine ability and the mine can move so I would order it to kaboom an enemy when in range.

Well when I tested it, I used a trigger, so when in range it would make it explode, but at the same time move the unit making it seems like it jumped toward the enemy...it worked, but I really should have added the explosion as the death animation and the jump as a move :wink:

These are similar to the Spider Mines in the Anchorage add-on to Fallout 3...

Lol I made that referance cos I has never played Half Life ^^

dont forget the fast and poison headcrabs, antlions, antlion guards, combine, civil protection, rebels, citizens, alyx, gman, breen, kleiner, eli, dog, striders, dropships, gunships, helicopters, and all the weapons. No need for gordon, you don't see urself ingame anyway XD

very nice model BUT hopper mines have 3 legs not 4!!! but good job anyway ...

I know - and their color is black and they does not have this exact form. If you read the text you can see I write inspired by, not actually made to be.. bla bla..

Well, it only shows a little green explosion :con: But the big red KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!! (xD) doesn't appears when the mine dies ;)

What the heck... Well seems like the effects on this model needs heavy update then... I'll look at it.. :hohum:

But well it is a old model, but still... :con:
