I love this map, i played it, its very good. Although i suggest an event at the end, after all the asteriods have been diminished, because everyone hesitiates to attack in fear of loss of their irreplaceable units because they cannot get more due to no resources. Like a sudden death mode, or the like.


Otherwise its a great map, your use of space inspired the one i used in my map as well.

Good job overall 7.5/10

I think it's a decent map, played it a few times with friends, but everyone found the fighters very weak, they might need some buff. Boarding ships are totally unused. I don't think I saw anyone else other than me using it, but they require too much resources and micromanagement to benefit the player, I think. 4/5 Looking forward to future versions. :)

They probably are. Because in games that I play(with "pro" teammates) against skilled enemy motherships, Interceptors and fighter-class squadrons are the most essential units u'll need if you want victory. The reason why they seem weak is because they are only best used at the start of the game, where the heavy firepowered ships are not yet deployed. To ensure a decisive victory, it is most imperative that you have Interceptor and Bomber squadrons take out the enemy Collectors, to stall or halt their productive capabilities, therefore buying time for your team's mothership to create the battle fleet. Once the REAL battle starts, that's when u stop using weak fighters and go for the heavy stuff.


Also, newbie players/lagging players usually don't do well with Fighter class units as they usually have problems getting adjusted to the gameplay(hotkeys and movement, etc).

Why would you do that? Not everyone wants to use 1.24. It's just that the community i'm playing with doesn't use 1.24, hence i can't update...unless i use Version Switcher, which i will plan to do soon, i assure you. =)

I suggest to keep updating for wc3 because i think sc2 will suck but it is your choice, just a suggestion..

This was not a very good representation of Homeworld in my opinion.
-Storyline? The Hiigarans existed in HW2 because the Kushans discovered the paradise world of Hiigara.
-Lacking representation of the original game
:Resourcing wasn't even close.
:Ships had no appreciable counter system.
:Strategy focused largely around creating the largest fleet before resources ran out.
:Mobile defenses?!

There are a lot of things that could be done to improve this. It was a good attempt, but could have done with a good amount more effort on gameplay.
