[Story]
-The horror story is about a 14 year old boy name Timmy / Little Timmy.
He came home from school and noticed that his house looked different and now he finds himself in the purgatory but does not know it, but still he will search these dark places for his parents. This is only part 1 out of 4.

-This game was inspired by a horror game called "Emily Wants to Play".
This is not my first time to create a map, I've been creating for years now, but this is my first upload.
I really would want to create 3D horror games but I do not have the knowledge.

-I don't have all the names of the authors. Some of the models I've found the author so I added a ending credits note for the authors of those models. Please contact me if I am using your model and you are not in the credits.

If I treat it as just another indie horror game, it's preetyy good. Atmosphere, scare jump, pages <3 are just as good as should be. But u made it on warcraft engine what was mindblowing (for me at least). Things that makes game a bit unpleasant, I mean seeing through doors and movement( which was actualy quite good for war3), I belive due to limitation of war3 engine. I strongly recomend you to try unity or half-life engine, because i have feeling that war3 engine stops your potential.
Btw I got stuck at "sleeping beauty", any hint whats need to be done?

Quite interesting map, the unwelcoming and gloomy atmosphere was very well made. However, some places were way too dark and reading notes was painful without adjusting gamma IMO. Regarding the dissapearing doors, maybe preventing the player getting too close? Not your fault though. My only strong suggestion is changing human UI to another one more fitting. To conclude, I'll humbly QFT:

war3 engine stops your potential.

Actually, no. He just need to know how to trigger/code the movement properly then it will be much better with very few works. What I see so far is that he is using "SetUnitPosition" which is causing the movement becomes so weird when we hit something.
And for disappearing objects when too close, it's because he over-scaled the object beyond the model file's extents. So, he should've re-scaled the model file and re-calculate the extents instead of doing it in object editor/terrain editor.
Wc3 engine is not stopping anyone to create incredible things.

I see lot of potentials in this map. It has great atmosphere, great sound effects usage, and especially very thrilling gameplay! Honestly, I stopped playing it when I was in the bathroom because it sounds like there was "something" behind me yet I couldn't manage to get out of there because of the movement and disappearing door, I couldn't stand it. But seriously it gave me some very good thrills.

I've tried unity but I didn't understand it haha but I will try it again because I really want to create a horror game. You have to find sleeping beauty (It's a painting) and just go near it, then go back to the whiteboard :D.

I've tried to recalculate the extensions and searched a tutorial, when I recalculated the models became so small, but I didn't understand how to do it properly. Hahaha I will try harder. xD

Ok everyone, Iv'e updated it and added a UI and more scary sounds and jumpscares, I also made the game longer and harder to win.

Alright, so I've done a little research on who the authors of the models I've used and sadly I've only found a few, the others I could not find. But I will look harder and update it next. I also promise to create a list of credits before I upload a map. :)

edit: okay so i played it until one has to find all 10 notes that are scattered throughout the house. It was a surprisingly deep atmosphere (somewhat hampered by the clipping through objects) and definitely was scarier than anticipated.

Well done from someone who isn't really into this genre (Amnesia and all that).

Well because of the game's limitation (eg: not being able to look using the mouse) you have to spend a lot of time looking down and pressing interact.
What about looking up too instead of middle forward?
The part where you have to gather the notes is quite annoying because of the need to turn on the light and you might get stuck by objects before getting there.

What I'm not really fond of is linearity. Do this, go back to the board, do that, again to the board.


Buffing it to 4/5 just because it's creative in what WcIII is concerned but the moving system is annoying when you have to hurry.

What do you mean Youtube.com for the sounds? Try to find a proper links. Where did those YT videos get the sounds from?
Same goes for the HD pics.

EDIT: why is the Modern Warfare tag on? I don't think it fits.
Also, keep in mind that this site is frequented by kids. This map might be a bit too much for under 16 years old.

*The F10 thingy I don't know how to remove, I'm using that jasscode day/night model to set it dark but somehow if you press any option button it lights up.
*I also don't know how to fix that issue with seeing through some models, I lack modeling skillls because I think I need to fix it with Model Editor or something.
*You can actually save before and after the parts where you can die (Gathering of 10 Notes, etc), I did this so no one could cheat by always saving after getting a note. It would tell you if you may save the game (Game Text).
*The thing I wanted was to be able to look up, BUT all the model would disappear when I tried it so I limited the angles.
*You can actually run away from the monster if you choose because I set his movement speed to slow. But he does not give a sign when he comes so you have to look out, I made it like this to make it scary. But it's up to whoever plays it to find out the movement or patterns of the monster. :)
*Oh no, I also have to put names of all authors of the sounds and HD pics? I guess I have a lot of work to do since I am currently making the sequel.

I think we can approve this right away. Aside from the small model problems already adressed, the maps is quite wonderful. I am not too much into scary maps myself, so I played without sound because I am a pussy :p still, very good assets, extremely well done. I really hope you are able to fix those tiny details like model clipping/model banish, but I am sure you can convince a modeler too help you, it's not something very difficult to do.

Thank you for testing and approving, I will ask one of my friends here in hive if they can help me with the models or I will just do some research about recalculating the extensions. :)

Have you fixed that weird movement behavior when colliding with blockers? I'd like to re-download and continue playing if so.
I'm still working on it haha, I find it difficult to solve. I always use the MOVE UNIT TO POINT action but it seems to go crazy when you hit pathing blockers. I also tried to detect the pathing blocker but it's kinda buggy. I'm using GUI. I also tried to add movement speed so I can just order the unit to move but it shows all those Patrol, Hold Position, Stop commands which I want to hide haha. I will try harder :).

Ah, chill out! :)))) they'll have some fun!

Hi everyone thanks for testing out my map, I can no longer update this as I have protected it before I uploaded and the only unprotected version was in my old hard drive which apparently got busted. But I will make a new and better version, maybe a part 2 of this with better codes and no clipping through models since I have learned a lot more about modeling, animating and the warcraft 3 codes.
