I'm just astounded. I want to see that model used lots. Thank you for making such a gorgeous model, from a big Tolkien fan. :)

I honestly prefer the elves from Warcraft, but the LOTR elves can be awesome too. :p
Oh and awesome models as well.

Does he have defend animations ? :)

Can we hope for Legolas, too?

There are already perfectly good skins and model edits for the main characters of LOTR.

This is what i am planning to do so far:

Uruk Hai Swordsman
Uruk Hai Pikeman
Uruk Hai Crossbowman

High Elf Cavalry (you're welcome, Sumallo2)
Elriond or Gil Galad (or both)

and from there we'll see :)

Can you add a "Stand Defend" animation, like the footman, Captains and Spell Breaker. This unit have a "Stand Defend" animation. Please make this one too.

My Rating : 4/5
My Rating(With "Stand Defend" animation) : 5/5

:D

I will not. That would mean having to redo the entire animation set again in another pose, and animating is very time consuming. Also, it would mean i'd have to redo the standard stand animation to look less "defended", as in, to have his shield less in front of him to contrast with the defend animation.

I would just rather focus my efforts on getting my other lotr models done. Uruk just needs animating now for instance.

Ok I understand but still I like a Spartan defend animation but this MODEL WILL ROCK MY WORLD. Thank you for understanding me :).

I hope you will make nice long pikes for those Uruk pikeman, seeing as 18-22 foot was around average (for a Macedonian sarrisa or a renaissance pike). Back on topic, the elven spearman is a great model, 5/5 we really do need more spear units, they were the most common melee weapon of the ancient world and i really find there was a huge lack of them in Warcraft for it was very uncommon to ever fight a sword wielding opponent who was not of noble birth (besides Rome of course, but they used mass produced short swords and it was their less produced cavalry sword that became the famous knight swords of the middle ages). On another off topic note, have you ever played or seen the mod Third Age total war? If you haven't you might find it interesting to look into.

Edit: now that it think about it, maybe a too large pike would not look well proportioned in Warcraft.

Same goes for me TATW has a brilliant campaign map, cool model concepts etc. I do agree about the pike it should fit your style, and really if it were as long as a real one, I'm sure it would probably look quite strange, anyways, can't wait to see the rest of them when they are finished!
