67chrome: This is re-colored and the runes added to it look as though they were drawn in MSN paint, they should at least blend a little into the skin. I highly recommend practicing a lot more, and checking out the skinning tutorials on this site as well. Skins also need to be 75% freehand for approval :(

This is just a simple recolor with few brush strokes, rejected. Seriously people... WHY can't you read the skin submission rules before you decide to upload it, WHY?! Don't make such skins, your skins need to be at least 75% freehand, no filters, no recoulor... freehand. Anyway... here, study some of tutorials and you might improve your skinning skills:

Wc3c's 2D tutorials
Hive's 2D tutorials

There's no need to repeat the same stupid message over and over, people.

Saberfire, I assume this is your first skin. Well, I'll tell you a secret: First skins often end up very bad and yours is not an exception.
FrIkY already told you about it's flaws and he also linked to useful tutorials that can help you to improve. Listen to his advise.

Oh and this link is the perfect advise for users who have made their very first model/skin/icon/whatever.

Which basically means changing everything?

Lol :]

Anyways. Sorry about the bear. Just couldn't help myself when Garshilan asked.
I'm with the bunch of optimists on this case, actually. Doing what FrikY, Dan and Krisserz are suggesting would result in an acceptable skin. :)
Just read some tutorials and practice, and you'll end up a good skinner. Remember, everyone's got potential.

Hey kewl, almost same name.

Here's the best advice I can give any beginning skinner. It's not easy but it assures the most original product.

When you open up the Blizzard skin you want to edit, go over the part you want to edit with an eraser. Then fill the blank white space with the predominant colour of your choice for that area. From there, use the brush tool to make details and such of your own design. Finally, use burn/dodge to make shadows/highlights, respectively. Then do the same steps for the next area you want to edit. Go 1 area at a time, I usually start with the face.
Now obviously there's more work to do than that, but it's the foundation of how to make a totally original skin so that people can't even begin to say you recoloured. If you erase the existing texture, then nobody can say you didn't edit it enough.
