just a random idea: you might use some other terrain for screenshots. red doesnt really strand out from red 
since i already posted something im gonna dl and look at it too...
EDIT: really awesome. nicely used texture ;D
the only thing that could be improved are the 4 triangles marked with purple on this screenshot. you could make them like they are on the other side (picture #1):
also (not sure if this really would make it better :| actually) it would be more logical (?) if the connections were more like on picture #2. but i think your's is good too:

About the screenshot you are totally right, I noticed that it looks kinda weird. And about the other thing; yeah I guess I could do that and that was more how it was meant to but after all it's not visible in game you know.

Interesting.. but would a hellbringer be a more fitting name for a scythe? it so fits in, if you elongate the blade a bit.
