Guitar Hero Project v0.2

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Guitar Hero Project Alpha v0.2
by JJoules

Gameplay
This is not the full intended experience, but rather an Alpha build of my Guitar Hero Project, made in the Warcraft III engine. It is intended to be a proof-of-concept.

Colored notes will appear near the top of the screen and move downward. The object of the game is to hit the notes as they cross the bottom to play the guitar in time with the song.

To hit a note, you must hold the fret that matches its color and then strum as it crosses the bottom. There are also smaller notes, called hammer-ons and pull-offs (HOPO's) which do not require you to strum if you hit the note before it, however, you still need to hit the note on time.

Some notes will come at the same time, and must be played at the same time. These notes are called "chords". For single notes, you may hold all the frets that are below it (green to orange) and still hit it, however, for chords, you must hold exactly the notes that are indicated.

Currently, it can ONLY be played in Expert mode. No Fail mode has been enabled to make it possible for non-Expert players.

Controls:
1 - Green
2 - Red
3 - Yellow
4 - Blue
5 - Orange
← or → - Strum

If you have a Guitar Hero or Rock Band controller, I recommend using the tool AntiMicroX to bind your controller's buttons to the keys.

Please take into consideration that alpha versions are for Map Development
I will wait for a near complete (like late beta) release before reviewing.
Also, some of the map tags are not fitting but that will be edited later.
My bad, not incredibly familiar with the site, I only come here occasionally, I wasn't aware of the Map Development area. I wasn't quite sure what tags to put as there weren't any that were particularly fitting.. I mean, technically the gems are "units" and you have to prevent them from reaching the end, so its kinda-sorta a TD.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
