Grand Blade

The Grand Blade. Firstly, its a two hander. meaning its big. sooooo, yet another weapon... their so addicting to make >.< this weapon was spawned from me attempting to make a 'sword in the ground item' model. instead of makeing the basic sword i was meant to, i kinda made this.
planning on makeing a corrupt version of this.

Textures by Blizzard :D

if you use this give credit (again, unless your not planning to publish your map), also you guys can change its size, rotation ect. basicaly anything but its shape and texture.

Looks good.

A tip: Look in UI\Glues\SinglePlayer\HumanCampaigne\Sword or something like that. There is a really good looking sword texture. It is very used, but if you make the blade look unusual, no one will complain. Basically anything from Glues looks good, you just need a clever wrap for it.

Also you seem to be using textures for handles that look almost identical. Variation would be good. Basically anything that has some stripes on it can look good. So for example Knights texture, that part that goes on the lance can look good, same with dragonhawk (and both textures come in 2 different color versions!!). Just browse tro textures in Magos and you'll find something good.

Take this from someone who also makes attachments (when he feels like it) ;)

@HailFireer: thanks. and yeah i noticed the few from glues and that my handles looked the same. if you check my the cleaver (if thats the one you mean with the simular handle) it actually has a different texture, but after looking closer at it i realised the handles are the exact same. i'll try change the blade texture and see if it works nicely, otherwise ill just leave it be.

man this is fucking awesome !!!
but i got one problem...
i don't know how to make a unit hold it xD

I dont know if anyone has answered you yet but you dont need triggers, the way i do it is go to the ability editor (in the object editor) and creat new spell/ability go to items -> pick something like 'Item damage bonus (+2)' or something, name it, then change the 'Data - Attack Bonus' to 0. go to 'Art - Target' and use the sword model and then 'Art - Attachment Point 1:' --> Add String 'Hand' --> enter --> add string 'Left' --> enter and TA-DA give a unit the ability and your done. if you want it on the right hand just change the 'Left' sting into right ect. oh and give the ability to an item if you want it to only appear if a unit is holding the item.

Damn this is a big post, Sorry xP
