I found this small project of mine staying for years in a folder, so I revisited it, edited it and it's now ready for upload.

How does it work?


*The host sets the rules

Use your digger to dig digsites. Can also learn Search, which helps you search for digsites. or Stun, or Adrenaline or Hero Attribute

* Some diggins result in nothing, others give you gold, lumber, or items.
* Each digged site gives you hero experience.
* All items that you receive can be dropped/lost when another digger kills you.
* You will know it's a digsite if it has a big arrow over the revealed location. Also, when a digsite is digged,
*it takes 30 seconds to reactivate.

* All diggers respawn after 30 seconds.
* Maximum level is 15.

* Every player has 1 bank in the center of the map where he goes to deposit his gold, lumber and items for gold.
* Every digger can attack the bank of other players, and pillage gold from it, but unless you are higher

level you won't be able to destroy it. A destroyed bank = defeated player.

* You can use the cave system. Entering a cave teleports you to another cave.
There are 6 locations on the map that spawn and re-spawn random powerups.

You win if (or):
- the host set time limit, and at the end of that time limit you have the most resources
- the host set resource limit, and you acquire the resource limit before the others
- you destroy the banks of the other players

You lose if:

- you bank gets destroyed
- fail to acquire the most resources

*Fixed an issuew where when the hsot clicks 3000 resource limit,
it will say unlimited.

* the respawn window for player 5 and 6 is now created and shown



-fixed an issue where the winner of a limited resoruce check would not get a dialog.
- added a 6-part item that makes you the winner if oyu collect all
- added more pathing blockers at a spot so you doont get stuck

now when a digsite respawn ,and you are standing on it, you will be able to dig, instead of re-approaching it.
Powerups respawning is fixed
now digsites cannot be selected
when you win by accumulating resources the timer pauses
Search now has new hotkey to not conflict with Repair
Now you cannot click on gold coins and bundle of lumber
Increased the pillaged gold.
when the host picks no combat, pillage also gets removed.
now you won't be able to control your digger until the host picks options.


made the player left message colored.
disabled the temporary command to respawn
Increased the weather system timer by 60 seconds.
Added some more decorations
items added to random drop: potion of healing, Wand of negation, Tome of power, Glyph of fortification, Book of the dead
Removed and added some pathing blockers
edited some triggers



changed the time in levels in Dig to 5>4>3>2
Added a visual progressbar overhead of the digger when digging



Fixed a bug where when a single player leaves all are paused
Fixed a bug with player 4's progress bar


*replaced with timers the periodic timers for the progress bars for more accuracy
*now when a player is dead the multiboard will say it
*now when a player leaves, his bank is also removed
*when you win on time the dialog shown is fixed
*reworked some triggers for maintenance
* THE BUG WITH PLAYER 5/6 LOSING/TRANSFERING CONTROL IS FINALLY FIXED, I FOUND IT
*added cam control commands: -zoom <x>, where <x> is camera distance. Note that the default distance is 1650.
You also can use -zoom default (1650 distance), -zoom med (2050 distance), -zoom high (2500 zoom)



*Reworked the progress bar system. Now it iss text that gets colored over time.
* now the dig ability really has 5/4/3/2 seconds duration
*now when a player is dead the multiboard will say it
*now when a player leaves, his bank is also removed
*when you win on time the dialog shown is fixed

*moved trees around to improve player 4's bank's visibility

*Permanent Invisibility's transition time severly reduced
*Changed the loading bars ofo triggering with a model.


*rune of stamina now really gives you 10 armor instead of speed

* Fixed a mistake in the triggers when resurrecting your digger




*added the missing variable Bank that gets teh bank. Now it will be removed when a player leaves.
*Replaced the arrow model with a model of a shovel made by me!

Now the name of the players who have long names will be partially cut for the multiboard.
Removed unused textures from 1 model.
Known issue: some players get white screen when playing.



Fixed the problem where for some players the map appears white


Now the endngame is cuztomized: you won't get a default message of win/lose(instead triggered), and when you click the dialog the game takes you to the scorescreen.
Reworked the endgame triggers and fixed some trigger mistake for endgame

I hope that I don't have to do more updates, because this project took too long to perfect.

Could use QWERTY for spells instead. Maybe you could also employ a team mode. Once you start digging you can't stop but can be attacked. What happens if you get stunned? Ability level up is not like in Warcraft III where you need to level up two times...

All in all seems like a fun map. Maybe you can get more creative with game modes and whatnot.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
