When digging into my old map folder recently, I found this little gem. It uses axial symmetry for the most part of the map, but the center is a little "spiral" connecting the two starting positions. See screenshots to understand what I mean.

I remember thinking that the map turned out too large and that I didn't like it for that, so I cut off the edges and shrunk it by a good amount. Feels much better now. I've also reworked the creep camps.

The big question is: Will the unequal exits of the spiral (one is further north than the other) affect the gameplay too much, i. e. is one starting position favorable over the other? I haven't come to a conclusion.

What'll certainly make games interesting is the many green camps in the middle.

If you think that the red camp in the top right corner is stupid, let me know, I might remove it after all.

Enjoy!

Not all creeps have full mana (furbolg elder shaman for instance and others). The middle's height might make battle a bit annoying because of the close vision but makes the terrain look natural. Approved. If you want more reviews, you should...

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

It appears that in the current version of the editor the mana of a creep camp is automatically set to 0 if you select multiple units (including units with no mana pool) and then hit OK. Naturally this happens all the time, for example when you set the aggro range of an entire camp. I've fixed all creep mana individually now and uploaded a new version.

Thank you for pointing it out!
