The Last Fort


The plague drowns all over Lorderon, more and more parts of the country fall victim to her. Luckly you were able to escape, but now it is time.
Stop the Siege of the Undead Army and hit it back as fast as you can!

The hope of the alliance, or even of the whole world, is on your shoulders, you can't drop them under any circumstances!



This is a map I started working on about three years ago and finally finished!
The main objective on this map is to survive the incoming hordes of undead till the end, you have two ways to counter them:

  • First of you got two canon turrets which shoot whereever you guide them with the arrowkeys and the "F" key.
  • Second you can recruit swordsman, archer and many more to improve the self defense of the fort.
All credits go to me, Thendar and ofcorse Blizzard for creating Warcraft.
The only external material is the "Goldlike" sound, found in Unreal Tournament.

07.02.2018 --- Improved the translation and increased the gold at the end of earch round
13.02.2018 --- Improved the translation again, hopefully I got it all.
09.06.2018 --- Changed the Upgrades for the Turret and added an attack speed bonus.
13.03.2019 --- Made some tiny changes, mainly language mistakes.
16.03.2019 --- Fixed alot of Bugs I had, not sure if they accured for other people (like transmissions not -------------- working, units disapearing etc. )

Well I dont know everything about defence/survival maps like this one but here is my review. First of all the map is 80% fun (for me) but it is too hard even though I played it normal or baby the creeps are just to many and the fort's life is so...

Well, here are some things to consider:

It's hard to consider which units are worth their price, since the player only knows about their overall dps.
(Do archers have enough attack speed to be effective with their instant kill headshot?)
(What kind of aura does the captain offer?)
(Are Footmen of any use whatsoever, other than maxing out?)

Did you even test -extreme? Seems impossible to win.

Also the outro is too long. Players who failed will want to quickload immediately.

Oh and overall the map is quite enjoyable.

Ye, I run over it realy quick to upload it here, Ill improve that soon.

And no, I dont think its possibile... I think I was able to get hard done once, not even sure about that. I should overdo that or name it Impossibile I guess ;)

I made the Intro and Outro as it is because I didnt know how to make a skippable scene, sounds pretty foolish :D

  2. You have to put discription in the units like the captains what will they do?-are they useful for defence nor offence? we don't know.
  3. The given resources is to small you have to increase it and the given resources in each round is to small you can only train a unit or upgrade it so improve that
  4. I simply found a bug whenever I click ''Fire'' or ''F'' the fire does not do any damage into any of the creeps I tested it and it did not work.And if you say ''it's because you trained a unit don't try to train a unit and test it-it works!'' n and the answer is ''NO'' I already tested it and I lose because it does not deal damage at all even though the creeps are near.
That was everything of my review if I say anything that is wrong then just tell me.
And also put some instruction in the discription.Also put a change log so we will know what the changes are and version numbers like v1.0.

I have a suggestion could you like add some new icons or effects buffs and models,it can make your map even more fun to play with and will not be boring at all.

Loading screen: a 2D siegse?

1. Some words like Runde (seen up on the top bar) are not English but of other Germanic origin->Deutsch; same goes for the message after a round ends and the player is informed from where the enemy comes next; enemy player name-Untöte instead of Undead; Besiegbar instead of invulnerable (armour); "Der Himmel stürz ein" etc. Basically you have to recheck your every message, description and such to be sure it's going to be in English (everything, including endgame score messages).
2. Going over the third exclamation mark at the far end (using the arrow key) will get the screen to the first exclamation mark of that side while pressing the opposite arrow key will take the camera to the first exclamation mark of the opposite side instead of panning it to the previous exclamation mark on the same side.
3. As the upgrades have a n/n you could mention the max number of a specific unit too.

:D Not even Archimonde can withstand the fury of the Trojan Horse.
It's a bit of a "F" pressing fest.

I agree with deepstrasz the loading screen is ''a 2d siegse'' and its siege not siegse and other more stuff I for one vote for this to be rated 4/5 needs to be you know updated and also put a change log so we will know what are the changes,and screenshots so that you could attract more players to download your work.Be da best mon!

Im back, I read everything you wrote and im very happy that alot of you appreciate my map :3
tbh I changed the language of the map in like 2 hours and forgot alot of things in that time, I'll give it a second try in the next couple days.

it was a funny map to play (feedback after one game where i had quicksave before a hard wave i made after loading the quicksave again; only one normal game)
It is not too long with 20 waves and using the soundtracks of the game makes also interesting
Spamming the Canon might be a bit monotonous but it is ok when the enemy comes from multiple lines.

a little problem is that the camera is fixed by the canon target (if i forgot about a command i´m sorry) and that you can´t watch the entire map.
The fact that there is still some german text is no problem to me but others who don´t speak german at all might have a problem.

conclusion: i like it.

it was not much that was not translated
- players have still german names (Hauptstadt und Untote) and the forces are still called Streitmacht 1 /2
- at wave 20 it is called "Von Süden rückt etwas vor"
- one command is still called endlos

that was everything i found.

It was a decent map. Not really much more to tell. The locked camera annoyed me, as did the cannon towers that basically turn the map into an F pressing simulator. While I appreciate the novelty, I'd prefer the regular cannon with attack ground instead. Not being able to click on any units and see stats also annoyed me.

Pretty easy once you grasp the gameplay mechanics. Haven't had to use the big nuke once, although I played on normal so I'm sure it's much challenging in other difficulties.

This is so epic! Though it was kinda repetetive and short, maybe give us more money and an upgrade for attack speed (and start with slower attack) becouse spamming F was always doing a lot more than all the units combined when fully upgraded :\

That's a neat idea, maybe combining the dmg upgrade for the turret with an cooldown decrease. Ill give it a try

Nice map my only complaint is that I don't like how oyu have to keep mashing the attack button why can't it automatically attack the spot you target continuously?
