Forlaren Bruteb.blp

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Forlarren are the result of night elf and Burning Legion couplings, typically unwilling. Their demonic parents raised most of them, either because they were kidnapped at birth or because their elven parents were themselves kidnap victims. Forlarren raised in elven lands are treated with suspicion, but are taught to suppress their evil tendencies. Forlarren raised by the Burning Legion have their evil encouraged. (from Wowwiki.com)

Anyway I made this freehand but left some of the orginal textures, like the bear head on his back, in my map that symbolizes that the brute is worthy because they have slain a Druid.

I got one problem, the arms im working on them they look to pale right now...

And thanks to Mr Goblin for his texture tutorial.

Yyyy...LOL.

Nice joke, so funny =P

1/5

could you stop comments like this please?!
it is kinda frustrading and it deters new guys from this site... maybe he/she 's a talented but he/she didnt practise enaugh so far. its just a critique that noone helps and makes the new skinner sad... if you critique give him/her a hint to do something better.
my first skins sucked ass and i got comments like this, too. i know what iam talking about.

This wasn't a joke... i can admit it's bad but can you please tell what needs improvement?

well dont take it to serious...
do it like i said, post it in the other section and you will get more help :)
actually what needs improvements... here i go :p :
the whole thing needs more details. the armor needs to look more metalic.
read the afronight faceskin tutorial and try it like he does it.
that facecolor isnt that good as you see if it comes together with the red teamcolor it nearly burns your eyes. make anything more neutral ;)
also improve the haireffect atm it doesnt really look like hair :/
btw the chainmale is quite good. this part needs just more highlights. thats a good start for that skin :)
if you are really willed to improve that by reading more tutorials and practising than iam sure this skin can be get an approveable status, cause the idea is good :)
if you have any more questions, pm me

The head looks so ugly and his hairiness needs more details!!!

And add an helmet cause of he has an important armor but no helmet ='(
I'm sure of if you add an helmet it looks better (cause of we won't see his horrible face and stupid hairs).

The armor is good but the entire model looks horrible =s

Well, at least you freehanded it.
But like TurtleRacingCar said your better off showing your first skins in a place were helpful critiques are specifically asked for rather than submitting it with skins that have meet the standards and are worked through all the way.

Anyways, You should download Warcraft3Viewer if you plan on working with skins, given your screenshot I'm assuming you don't have it. It will allow you to test your skin immediately after you make changes to it. (hold down both mouse buttons to zoom in).

The color of the face is really bad, one thing I found out works pretty well for getting the right colors is using the eyedropper tool on your concept art or another texture to get the right colors, so you could do that on the demoness/fel guard/or any of the chaos orcs. Your hair tone dosn't look as bad, but blond hair is tricky to do so opening up a picture of someone with blond hair and doing the same would be good here as well. Not sure if blond really works with it though - you should go black, red, or brown.

All your colors are really flat, you really need to add more contrast and shading. This is even more important for metal (depending on how shiny you want it). Basically get it going from black to white; so the shadows are black and the highlights are white. Pretty sure Mr. Goblin had that in his tutorial actually.

You should look into more skinning tutorials so you can figure out how to work with the alpha channels (team color and invisibility), From the screenshot and your skin it looks like the team color was not modified and it clashes with the work you have done so far. Being able to shift team color around and remove areas of a model through its skin can be very useful, so work on that to.
