Magos' Model Editor
If a.) the model/s present an error regarding a ribbon emitter upon opening, or b.) the models go blank after editing them in Magos', use MdlxConv to convert the uncorrupted file to mdl, and then convert back to mdx before importing.

In-Game
If models with omnilights cause the whole map to light up after conversion, make sure you're using version 1.04 of MdlxConv.

I like the previews, so I don't need to view 3d. In the 3d viewer most of the spells (which I saw) don't look very good.

Amazing work!
However, it looks like the color is a bit too red compared to the standard orange/yellow flame. The end result is that it looks more like magical fire or burning magma than something a druid would throw using the natural fire element.
The flames will look less red when they travel over terrain, or any non-black backdrop.
I like the previews, so I don't need to view 3d. In the 3d viewer most of the spells (which I saw) don't look very good.
The purpose of the trails is to be "left behind," so they won't be visible when viewing models in a static setting. Additionally, the site's model viewer is imprecise with transparency, and doesn't display ribbons.

Man, i wish these Fire and Void missile effects could be nicely fitting for sci-fi weapons fire; specially X-COM Terran/Alien weapons fire i should say? :infl_thumbs_up::infl_thumbs_up::infl_thumbs_up::infl_thumbs_up::infl_thumbs_up:



Maybe some Fel (Green Fire) Missiles could be nicer for the Alien Plasma weapons for other things as well methinks. :)
