Finnall Goldensword (Kultiras Battlemage)

Finnall is a minor character, daughter of Daelin Proudmoore with highelf Goldensword before WC2. She was not recognized by Proudmoore who was already married. Her mother died when Arthas siege Dalaran. She travel then to meet his father and request help before he runs to Kalimdor once he knows about Theramoore Isle and his daughter, Jaina. Finnal reminds in Easter Kingdoms fighting against the undead. She's perfect for Calia's Campagin instead Tandred, so I crafted the model.

She can be used too as Battlemage from Dalaran or Kultiras.

Metzen don't talk about her like official character but I love her background.

Suggested Spells:

- Combat Teleport: teleports herself to nearby location doing AoE Damage in a Small Area. Colddown reduced with each hit.
- Arcane Hits: Can be activated to Increase attack speed and get a small bonus of damage but drain mana per sec.
- Violet Deflector: increase armor that stacks (one for each level) each time the battlemage strikes have chance to recover part of her mana pool.
- Blastrike: after channel for a short time cast a powerfull explosion on her next attack doing several damage to the Unfortunated target and Minor damage to nearby foes arround.

Review: Needs Fix

Seems ok besides her shoulderpads scaling when she moves her arms (that's a noticeable bug) and her portrait being atrociously funny. Fix those two things and it will be approveable. Overhaul it's a nice little edit. Good job. Liked her bitch-face and cute ears. Sowrd wrap could be better, but it's ok.

Indeed xD I did portrait fast at 3:00 am

I'll improve her today. I practiced attach bone for this model (jaina x proudmoore) so that explain why some moves still buggy. I'll keep working on shoulders.

Well, not so much 'animations' as 'parts of the mesh', but yeah, 'during certain animations' (e.g. Spell or Attack Slam). I """"kinda"""" know how it works/to do it, but really what I would do (literally) is just find another model that does what you want (in terms of the SFX) & then copy/paste them over to your model & make the necessary modifications.

Honestly I'd take a look at this baby; those exact 'sparkly colored star' SFX are what I was thinking of (though you could certainly do a lot of other things).

Also, I know it could be a lot of work, but this lady could really excel as a Unit (i.e. with Death/Decay animations). I'm not entirely sold on her 'heroic-ness', but with the option to use her as a unit I'd be pretty stoked. : )

Review: needs a (small) fix

Ok, two things. First - you forgot to change her death sound from paladin to something more femine, so right now she screams like a manly bearded dude when she dies. Dig event objects in Model Editor and change it to sorceress or jaina or something. Also move that weapon ref closer to her actual sword. Right now it's somewhere around her fist.

The model itself is indeed very nice. Very well done.

I don't know whether it is or isn't, but in Warcraft you have to watch out for making things too small/thin; a true rapier would be simply invisible in-game.
Just thought that the width was a little bit big. If the sword's width was a little thinner, it would match the "female sword fighter" concept greatly.
