Fever

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Fever

- a non-finished, light adventure map, showcasing what zones and creeps Warcraft 3 has in store.
- move your ghost onto a rune to read the corresponding hero info and into the hero you`ve chosen to pick the hero.

The map is playable but not finished and not tested and balanced enough, tested with up to three players so far. Apart from other things, the current stuff I`m adding is scripted events.

As the saying goes - nothing is ever finished, nothing!

NB: This is an old map, updated only rarely due to work engagements, and not finished, I cannot say when I`ll be able to finish it, I consider it substandard.

Haha yes, I (suprisingly unironically) wonder where I got the idea from. I had played Warchasers before 2008, when this map first came to be. I think maybe it was a girlfriend I went to pc clubs with, after our third run of Warchasers we wanted smth different so here you go. She was to be the dryad, I the stone giant :D

  1. You could add glow to heroes which don't have it: How to add Hero Glow without Modeling
  2. Flying units as ground units look weird.
  3. Some colour on the name of the heroes when their description is shown, would not hurt.
  4. The pig hero has Dark Portal (farm icon) which mentions Archimonde (also, summons permanent units each time with no total limit). The hero's ultimate has no tooltip in the ability learn panel/menu. Also, the descriptions should mention what each ability level brings/changes (Reincarnation has the same description for every level). Please make proper tooltips/descriptions. Learn about that:

  5. Use proper models. The pig has no attack animations.
  6. Recycled Warcraft III material: spells and all.
  7. Should enemy units sleep at night?
  8. Terrain seems flat and rather basic.
  9. You can choose the second level at level 2 for the first spell you chose at level 1.
  10. Linear gameplay.
  11. Time changes depending on where you are not naturally.
Much too old school, you don't do anything but kill units on the map in the old fashioned way.

Please play some newer RPGs and learn from them.

Substandard.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
