You should have updated your previous submission of this skin instead of re-uploading it as a different skin -_- It's nice to see you taking an interest in this skin again and re-working it though, it seems you have improved everything on this skin...
Extensive review: * Shading You've done decently for the most part, but her head and the red cloth could use more work. I could link a few skins with well-executed female faces, if you want, so that you could learn from them. I'm not sure what...

shiiK: Cleaning up skins that have been rejected (until updated) for more than a month - moving to rejected permanently due lack of updates since last moderation. No new review of the skin has been made. If you feel that this decission is wrong, or if you want to update the skin, please reply to this PM and I'll work it out for you. As this is a preset message, and I'm just picking up each and every skin in the category, I want to apologize beforehand if this clutters your inbox.

shiiK: I'm afraid the quality of the face is too low for me to approve this. In addition there's the artefacts mentioned in the review linked below. Get that face right and this'll be approved. If you need help, feel free to contact me and I'll try to guide you through making the face.

Nice job, like I already told you in chat :D

and I suggest letting the face as it is. the female barbarian just is like that. you can't change that if you want to make it usefull. otherwise the people will complain when somebody sees the map: hey, the face of the barbarian doesn't fit!! Fix, it.. NOBbb Omfg.
and so on.

Edit: as I also already told you in chat. I can fix the wrap and stuff in a model and make it more cooler and so, if you want ;) oh, and your "model" is going well. nearly finished xD

You should have updated your previous submission of this skin instead of re-uploading it as a different skin -_-

It's nice to see you taking an interest in this skin again and re-working it though, it seems you have improved everything on this skin since I saw it last. The face could use more work though, even if you are going for a more chiseled or androgynous barbarian look.

Strands of hair should all go in the same direction, not criss-cross over each other in a massive tangle. An odd strand here will be sufficient enough to show frizz, but having each strand go in it's own direction makes it look like you got sloppy with drawing the hair.

The shading on the face seems a little patchy/blotchy right now, the change in lighting should be much smother and more gradual. I'd recommend selecting the face and using brushes with low opacity and maximum softness for all of the shading on the skin, a change in brush size should suffice on making finer details.

The eyes are projected directly on the face without any warping, so making them straight rather than slanted should improve their appearance. (I realize they are slanted in the original watcher skin). I'd also recommend playing around with the irises A LOT to get them in a position that looks right, most of the faces I've done for this model have gone through about 10 iris shifts just to make them appear to look forward. Right now they seem a tad cross-eyed. The eyebrows should be a different shade than the shadow of her eye-sockets as well, I'd recommend going darker.

The nose should be narrower, Around half the width it currently has. Select it and more it and shorten it. Overall it looks like one of the most well-rendered pieces of her face on the unwrap, but the skin is projected onto the model head-on, and if you were to mirror the other half of the face...there is a lot of nose there.

The back should be re-worked to show the top of the armor and belt wrapping around, right now it doesn't match with the front of the model.

I like the armor, I like it a lot. And I really hope you would work on the face some more, considering the portrait file will be the majority of how this skin is displayed, and if used in a Diablo map the lighting situation can make it an even more prominent representation of your work. Anyways, re-working the face is the central theme of this criticism. I guess the face is the basic point of it XD. Also, if you were wondering were that weird penis-cloth takes its wrap from or any other of the weird nuances of the watcher you could check out the Warcraft 3 Wrap Compilation project link in my signiture. It has the UVs of all WC3 units neatly laid out to aid skinners, allowing you to see what parts of the textures are actually used, and what parts will waist your time. (the loincloth is sampled from the top-right hand side of the right(back) boot btw). I'd recommend changing the loincloth to be more consistent with the rest of the red-cloth around her crotch. Also, the thing hanging from it should most certainly be removed, considering for whatever reason that part of the skin is billboarded nothing looks right on it.

* Shading
You've done decently for the most part, but her head and the red cloth could use more work. I could link a few skins with well-executed female faces, if you want, so that you could learn from them. I'm not sure what else to say about that. Her red clothes's shading is fine in terms of technique, but I think it folds oddly (particularly on her back). The main issue with it, though, is the colouring.

The hair could use some more extreme shading (stronger shadows) to emphasize depth.

* Colour
The colour scheme fits nicely together. Her face is wrong though - she's completely lifeless. Add some pink to her cheeks, and use a low opacity brush with green in shadows. Blue or purple should work well around her eyes (but don't overdo it, she'll look dead tired). Use some bright orange for highlights (also here, be careful with the intensity of it). The overall key, though, is to be soft.

The folds on her red cloth is highlighted with white, which is particularly odd because not only does red tend to become orange or yellow in highlights even if the light-source is close to white, but the light-sources in WCIII are almost exclusively orange. Try to use a soft orange tint for highlights on red cloth, and use green in the shadows.

* Concept
You've translated the concept art to the Watcher well. I miss some of that green metal used in the concept though.

* Detail
There's a great deal of detail, while not being too much. This is definitely the strong aspect of this texture as it stands right now.

* Wrap
There are artefacts around her head in the portrait - remnants of the helmet. You have to get rid of those. The shoulder armour (large one - there's bits and pieces that get cut off) and her hands could also need tweaks (she seems to have pig hooves as hands).

Well i would wanna detail a review for her but the guy (and 67chrome) above me doing a good job reviewing that i'm not gotta go super detail about it. Look, face is subjective and i see ladies with manly face before, also she is a barbarian which harden face a lot hence look like that may make sense. The armor is probably the main carry of his skin that make her look like a convincing barbarian and arguely one of the best looking armor I have ever seen.

About the helmet remmants, i am doing what probably can be considered amoral but in respect to the author making this, i am going to apply a repair policy that remnants scenario, i can't fully repair it since this is touching the skin zone so this is what can I do. Remember that I should only touch a work if repair is necessary to get it functional.

The originally file (last updated: Apr 15 2011) will be in my comment instead so you know, when he came back and repair that. The one I provide you is to clear the remmants of the helmet, just that, nothing else. My compression is different but do it best to kept the same length to original size [I compress it in 80]
