Farstrider Hunter

I needed an explorer/messenger unit for my campaing and made this based on the Elf Worker body. Has the two bandit models set of animations. Use Bear form or Alternate tags in the world editor to get the axe unit.

Clothes, Boots and Head remade by Minimage.

Added Portrait into the main model.
Corrected height of the body during death. decay flesh, and death fire animations. The body now must be on the ground and start decay in a more natural fashion.
Added Blood emitters, Footprints emitters at the proper time.
Remove a conflictive frame in attack animation.

To use the model
Copy two Bandit models, one with spear and the mele version.
In the mele search from the art field and put this info.
Art - Required Animation Names: alternate
Use an ability based on Bear Form and that is.

The head is too big and it's color doesn't fit with the arms.
Also, the armor needs to be more elf-ish.

Working on the color problem in the head and arms. About the armor texture, which texture may be the ideal replacement?

Because i really want to keep the brown scheme in the clothes.

Edit.

Axe handle size length increased, spear width reduced in a factor of 10, skin colored with geoset animation. Head size... is complicated, if you look the pesant model is the same ratio head/body, maybe with an oversized shoulderpad the head would look normal :xxd:

Ok working on the head problem, instead of using Kael, i'm going to put a little experiment.

Arthas head and hair with bloodmage skin. Now i need to make a new portrait and get to work in the hair ;_;

Was bored, so I chatted with Himperion yesterday. He was a little indescisive, so I spent the better part of yesterday working on remake variations for him. The first was more of a bearded bandit, the second a more night elf bandit.. then the third, when we finally agreed on a style. Basically a wood elf. I went with that and worked with that for a couple of hours.

Wanted to ask for input in the chat but no one was there. I will most likely edit a copy of medivhs portrait so that it gets a portait animation as well. I reworked the mesh though, not the animations and stuff. So Himperion prob. need to tweak the model after that. Anyhow, this place is as good as any.

I think he should keep ALL the variations (apart from the two early ones), Since they ALL look good actually. xD Maybe make one leader, and 2-3 others.. Dunno. It'd make it feel more realistic (if it's intended for a campaign).
