The Lore
As demands of field reconnaissance (and the amount of hidden snipers) grew higher, the brave Kameraden of the Empire developed a lightweight, lightly armoured and fast scout vehicle. The Fafnir Scout Car stems from the same roots a the Iron Hussar tank, but with reduced armour, heavy all terrain wheels instead of tracks as well as a powerful yet surprisingly fast 24mm autocannon. The Fafnir is also equipped with an internal micro radar to detect any hidden enemy. Since its introduction in the Grand Iron Army the Fafnir has since then become a herald of the massive armoured fist of the Iron Empire.
The Dev Log
After using the tinker tank texture for the main body of my tanks for literally years now, I wanted to try out something new. I wanted to do something inspired by Wolfenstein tech. So I went with a dark steel texture, glowing orange windows and some leather and brass looking stuff. Add a good measure of WH40K design into it and you got this one. I think for a first try it turned out quite good. I also tried some new animation techniques.

General, if you don't mind me asking, might I inquire as to why you've been doing exclusively tanks for the past couple years? Don't get me wrong, they're excellent models! It's just I've used a lot of your older, more "conventional" Warcraft models for a long time, but I've never really had the right project to ever use any of your tank models and it just kind of saddens me that we might never see any of your excellent units along the lines of your Fel Orcs, or the Dwarven Axe Thrower, etc etc. Just curious, no hate! XP
