Change-Log

  • January 28, 2010 - Initial Release
  • January 29, 2010 - Changed Shoulder Design, Added highlights to skin.
Formed from the genetic tampering upon the horrific genetic makeup of the
Faceless Ones, these monsters use pure brute force and arcane-imbued maces
to annihilate those who dare stand in their way.

*For those who care, this is NOT part of my collection of M.E.O.W. skins.*

Credits go to Hawkwing. This skin was entirely designed by me - non modified areas excused, which were created by Blizzard Entertainment.

I begun this project during the Summer of 2009, I believe. I repeatedly lost interest and regained it, and today (01-28-2010) I spent a good 5 hours to finally get it done. It is around 90% freehand. Several parts were duplicated in order to make the load of work easier for me. Enjoy and credit appropriately, or I will find you and kill you. :)

If you would like a smaller version of this skin (with the dimensions of 256x256), I will gladly send it to you.

Approved!

Oh, this one was your avatar for quite a while. Great texture! Would be nice if you changed that metal thing that hangs out from his belt, but it looks great nonetheless.

Yeah, well, I intended to finish it a lot earlier.

His skin could use a tad more contrast. Looks pretty bland in comparison to his armor.

Yeah, I've noticed. This has been sitting on my computer so long though, I was just really eager to finish it up.

At Last, the leviathan you're worked on for such a long time is done :]

Do you plan more skins, hawk?

I'd like to, but chances are they'd end up just like this one - taking forever to complete.

Make the skin a diffrent tone. Right now it is really bland and doesn't show up against the armor very well. Fix that and it recieves a 5/5 for me and +rep.

I think I'll do that later today.

I like it the way it is atm, and i think is is one of the best skins i saw on THW.

I might even say it, i think it deserves a DC.

Wow, thanks.

I really like the face, upper arms, and weapon of this bad boy. Glad you finished this skin to :)

The legs, hands, shoulders, loincloth, and chains all look pretty much the same as the original skin though, it would be nice to see more of the creative aspects used else ware on the skin implemented in said areas. The toenails could be changed from the original to look more elephant-like, the legs could have some of that cool robotic texture used on the arms, the tentacle hands could even be changed to look more like an elephants trunk :)
(with said similarities to the original skin I also think you are being a tad liberal in your freehand % rating, I'd say it's more like ~75% XD)

But ya, if you ever find the motivation to change said areas this skin could look totally stellar :)

I would disagree with this completely, though our definitions of freehand may be a bit different. Non-freehand being recolour, cnp, etc. Originality/actual changes in the appearance not being a factor.

I agree completely with this though, and I think I briefly touched on the reason for this in the description: I just wanted to get this over with. It's been sitting on my Hard-Drive unfinished for too long.

For the legs and hands and stuff, I had run completely devoid of ideas so I just threw in the original design. It is freehand however, I drew it in with the brush versus simply recolouring it because I was worried I wouldn't quite make the 75% freehand minimum (or whatever it is now).

I figured you did something like that, I noticed the legs seemed to have more definition and the suction-pads on the hands were different.

Maybe you could pull up some poke-pics of donphan to fill your void of ideas XD

well, the chestplate is nearly white, but the loincloth thing starts out with plain black/team color.

the line that separates those two colors is just not attractive.

Can you or somebody who agrees with this bring it up in-game and see if it still appears odd? In the Wc3 Viewer the upper part of the loincloth is really dark (don't know why) and it's not in-game. That might be the issue, but maybe not.

Rodrigo96, do not post twice in a row (double posting). If you have something to add, click the EDIT button in the bottom-right corner of your post.
And it replaces the purple one, though if you put the skin to a different path you could make it cover up the pink one instead.
