Eye of Kilrogg

A simple yet pretty useful model for custom maps. Based on the warcraft 2 and wow warlock spell "eye of kilrogg", this summoned unit works pretty much like a shadow or a mobile sentry ward.


It's basically a sentry ward eye with adjusted collision, a bit of movement here and there, a portrait, and a walk animation. You can use either the sentry ward's icons, to reduce filesize, or my own. The model is optimized and weighs only 70kb. It uses no custom textures.



Uses:
-You could either make it a warlock/ogre magi spell.
-You may find a use for orc races without trolls/taurens (draenor orcs, wc2 orcs, blackrock clan...), to replace sentry ward or farsight (the Seer hero spell).
-You can add an item that has x uses of this spell.



Not recommended:
-It doesn't have attack animations, so making it an attacking unit isn't a great idea.
-While it can have a shadow, I recommend setting art shadow image to none.



Update:
The model now has a ribbon emitter -that is, the model has a "tail" when it moves-. I set his height to 0, so you have to add height manually in WE (around 100-150 is fine).
Some animations have been tweaked.

Stand-2 has been fixed

The real question is: does it blink and looks left and right like the original one?:vw_wtf:

Great addition, though I don't think adding built-in height was necessary (aside from the necessary height for it not collide with the ground).

I didn't add it, it was already levitating at that height. If anyone finds an issue with it, I can make it have 0 height (it takes about 5 minutes to do so).

And yeah, the eye blinks and moves. Dunno if I should make it rotate even further, tho :ogre_icwydt:
 
I assume its just the sight ward with the stem deleted. Basic but Still useful, but maybe add a particle affect tail or something so its more like the Warcraft 2 spell.

So I tried importing the model to my map, and using it as an item model, but I noticed that the model is sunk a bit to the ground. Could you raise it a little bit, or is that not possible?
You have to add height to the model, it used to levitate but people asked me to set the height to 0
