European Castle

I made many castles and adapt in this thing. So i decided to make a real castle in German style.

Changelog:

1.01 - Although instead of basement i used more longer walls, would be better to use a rock basement. Also added a wooden bridge to gate.
1.02 - New stone textures and new wrap.
1.03 - Wooden bridge replaced with stone.
1.04 - Changed roof textures. Changed gate towers and roofs for them. Added bricks for castle angles.
1.05 - Maded "Needs fix" requirements
1.06 - Added drawbridge instead of stairs.

Also, i find it strange that the rally-point attachment is in one place while idle, and in other while training a unit. The rock on the other side of the bridge could be accented with stairs, and lastly, but just imo, the castle could use teamcolor on tower roofs

I disagree with MiniMage, the textures are well and pretty. Still a standard using one wouldn't go a miss at all, much like how you did with your "alltypecastle", I find the custom textured castle still useful and the same could apply to this as well.
What I'm saying is that using those textures didn't hurt at all and is nice having variation but would be nice if we can get a standard texture version as well.


EDIT:
Would be nice for it to have a "base" so it doesn't bug out if you put it on a hill.
I think what you could do is simply lengthen the walls and buildings, I advise that, as giving it a base might bug things out.
Also may we get some eastern Castles too? Those are all western European. Maybe Saracen too? :p
 
A lovely model you've got here Mike.

If a user would want a castle where players can walk around, no this model would not do the trick. But for standard rts or Simcity like maps this is very much appreciated.
I like the more "realistic" textures you have chosen. It won't fit in with the standard wc3 model set, but with enough of these types of realistic models some very cool maps could be created.

I agree with SNIper of DARKness. It would definitely benefit the model if the outer walls stuck deeper into the ground.

Ahh a nice looking castle, the skin is great and it achieves the German style. I guess that's why you didn't use the texture on you're previous hd castle.
 
It's a great design, but one thing i don't like about your castles is how they seem to lack shading and texture depth. I understand that you want to be able to loop a single texture, but it is possible to shade a looping texture as such that it still looks deep. The wood is also a bit too contrasting to the stone. Overall very nice though.

While teamcolour roofs are not what I would say necessary they could work, though I advise on adding another teamcolored flag on the round tower.
Also I agree that the stone bridge end rock is a bit too out of place, maybe stone stairs would fit it better?
EDIT: Personally I like the wooden roof texture, it just gives it a more "gothic" look. That's just me maby.
