Europe at War: Victoria

A 19-th century RTS map

Once a map that had a good-sized roleplaying community Europe at War has not passed the test of time and was abandoned. Goblinkingsp has released a deprotected version and quit editing the map. As a former member of the old playerbase i feel legitimate enough to continue the map's legacy as the main editor and community leader.

The map

Starting in 1836 you must lead your country through the chaotic 19th century into the first half of the twentieth century. Inspired and based on Victoria II's mechanics this map's goal is to create the immersion of political, geopolitical, economical and martial realities of said time period.

Community

The discord.

Author and username difference. Can you prove that you are the same person or that you have permission to edit and upload someone else's map?
A credits list in the map description with the names of the authors whose resources you've used is mandatory. That includes models, skins, icons, custom spells, systems. Also, sounds, music and everything outside this site.
This helps you with the models, skins and icons from Hiveworkshop: Resources in use by Europe at War VIC4.06g

Awaiting Update.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

Sorry fot not answering for so long, i have not noticed that someone actually commented this map.
As I said in the description, the mapmaker announced his resignation from mapmaking of the map and released a deprotected version long time ago. I alone was probably the most popular host of the map.

Can you provide any evidence of this please? Did the author specify the deprotected version is also open source?

About the credits list, you can upload the map to this and generate a list out of the stuff on the site: Asset scanner

In the past it was different. There was no urge to make forum threads on hive specifically. There was a thread for the map on gamerisle long time ago but it ain't there anymore. The only evidence is mine, and some people's excellent memory, that goblinking once said in a lobby that he is giving up on the map and we are free to edit it as we wish.

That's not very helpful. Anyways, I'll let this go if @Alexen also agrees, until someone with evidence comes to confront you.
Please write an informative description and especially a credits list as asked above.

The Changelog for 4.07e:
Country changes:
+Austria: The Reichstag Reform grants now an additional 0.3 bonus tax efficiency modifier.
+Russia: The Rus Doctrine grants now an additional bonus 0.2 tax efficiency modifier. Russia has been granted a new centre of trade and a sea route.

+All countries start with 0 diplo points now (as in mana of national coordinators).
+In the future, events regarding gaining posession over Egypt similar to those in Victoria 2 will be added, but for now it shall start as UK's SoI.
+UK has gained a decision to make the egyptian SoIs under it become it's vassals. The decision can be enacted after 1860 and has several requirements.
+All Major Powers will start with a garrison in their capital now.
+Unique Buildings to build have been granted for the UK, France and Russia; the Tower of London, The Eiffel Tower and the Kremlin. They, and the Papacy grant now a bonus 0.1 trade and industry income and a +0.1 tax efficiency modifier. The modifiers dont work for anyone else.

+The time of researching techs has been reduced by 1/3, adequate to the scale of how time passage has been changed a version ago.

National Coordinator changes:
+Coordinator: The National Coordinators now possess the "sphere" ability which makes a neutral town or city turn into your sphere. Obviously, to sphere african or oceanian towns or cities one needs the "Quest for Africa" or "Quest for Oceania" decision. One can not sphere a town or city that is sphered by another country already. Upon trying to sphere a town or city that one can't the mana will be returned to the coordinator. The required mana to sphere a town or city differs regarding the region. One can't sphere Belgian or Swiss towns or cities.
+Coordinator: The "Create colony" ability has been added which only works on one's sphere of influence town or city that is either in Africa (counting North Africa but Libya and Egypt), Middle East or Asia. One must be industrialized to use this ability.

Bugfixing:
+The cities that spawn from Russias Siberia-themed events will no longer drop items upon capture.
+Sweden will start with 2 national coordinators no more.
+Sea forts can now be finished.
+Tech timings have been adjusted to the new time passage.
