Dwarves, Goblins and Trolls

The Nations of the
Goblin, Troll & Dwarf:

Summon you back
to an ancient age of War.

Races:
The Goblins are weaker initially but they have advanced technologies which they should use to their advantage. Goblin Sapper can drop kegs and detonate them after they leave. The Medic heals both mechanical and living units. The Snipers long range gun keeps her out of danger and the Warbot has a cybernetic personality. The WarZeplin is the Goblins heaviest hitter but the tank is a close second. The Spy can move in undetected and set explosives in the enemies base.

The Trolls are enchanting. New casters electrify the night. The Troll Boar rider though slower than an Orc Raider carries a heavier ax. The troll Plunderer fights like a grunt but has a special knack for stealing. The Hatchetmaster throws his blades for the kill and the Troll Tremptress is truly alluring.

The Dwarves are a proud race. Their might is legendary. The Geomancer possesses the power of the earth and human cleric flock to the dwarf Cathedral. The Barracks is the highest level dwarf building which houses the Blood Elf knight and the Gryphon Riger. The Rogue can swtch between melee and ranged combat and the priestess controls the power of water. The Winter Wizard freezes the day and the Mountain King rules supreme.

*This was made awhile ago and was my first serious attempt at Altered Melee. It sat in the rejected bin for quite a while due to lack of credits. I decided to go back and fix that, but it got over-looked and I didn't care. I had maps approved and my skills increased dramatically since this time. But, now I decided to bring it back to life. Anyway, point is, I'm not going to be changing it, so please direct your comments to other users who may want to play this map. Tell them about it, the good and the bad, but comments to me will not help.

Changelog: Proper credits and video added to description.

"Another visually good altered melee, But somehow some of the race has simple remake like replace model and swap abilities and a few standard melee units were just re-organize in each tech build, but still map is fairly good to play."

ummm i know it's sometimes annoying to give credit to each and everyone for every model/sound etc. but you should really do it. Moderators tend to not approve stuff if the credit list is 'incorrect'


also what actually made me comment is this: your map is obviously based of my map: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/tales-old-warcraft-0-3c-215421/



Don't get me wrong that's ok for me and all but hell you could at least give credit to me in your map description ;)


I agree it's an entirely new gameplay and all, BUT...

...I recognize so many of my unit descriptions, imported models that I used, abilities etc. even the loading screen is the same (and it's a picture of orcs but orcs are not a pickable faction in your map)

Sooo if you find it hard to track down all those people you'd have to credit I though I help you a little by reporting to you ;)



P.S. you can look at my map description i listed many of the model creators there and since many of those models were then used by you you won't have to look up each and every one of them

First off, you are the man. I will never have the skills you have. I really like your work. I used a few models from your map but most are not. The art from the screen above, I can't get rid of. And there are orcs on the map, they are creeps. I think they might be yours. Anyway, you should play the map and see, there is much more than I had time to give credit for. It would have doubled my time creating if I had to write down every downloaded piece and put in a credit screen. I don't offer this map as a token of my own ability, rather its something that is a conglomeration of work from the hive and I wanted to share it with everyone. While it takes a lot of work to make models and skins, they don't do much good without a map to play them on. This took a lot of work too, and I'm being honest and upfront, there is little original content in this map. Drogen, you are cool and I'm glad your not mad about it, most of my defense here is for the moderators, I hope this map doesn't get pulled. I just want people to be inspired, like I was, by cool models and variations in gameplay. I made a youtube video to try to advertise the map and for the hive. Did you see the video? Anyway, it would be a shame for this work to go to waste. If someone has already done this and its better than mine, by all means, scrap this, I'm the idiot for not looking harder, but I haven't seen anything like this available. I think its worth sharing and I hope other people enjoy it.

Drogenhoernchen became my friend after this and yes he is now in the credits of all my maps because he helped me with many things. I changed the previewscreen as well.
This map is the first in the evolution from of my maps, starting here and on to Kalimdor then to White River; you can see the progression of skills and constant multi-race theme.
I hope you all enjoy.

sorry it's late but this map has alot of problems both major and minor
-there are no win conditions
-the thorium spears upgrade requires a stronghold dwarves don't have them
-the cleric has no sound set
-Jaina unit (though written as a hero) is out of stock?
-boulder tower upgrade has no effect
-dark ranger isn't dark
-dark ranger has no sound set else than clicked
-ranger+ axe thrower cannot attack buildings
-there is no AI
-dwarven vault has no Upgrade base items (Main building level requirement)
-earthquake is placed as an ultimate ability
-German Text answer(not acceptable) nicht genug holz? Really? (i understand german but many people don't)
-blood lieutenant has a wrong description
-there is no differance between eastern and western dwarves
that is what i found in one game as the eastern dwarves hope you fix it!
