Dwarven Archbishop

Devout, humble, and powerful. The Dwarven Archbishop acts as the Hand of the Light; or rather, when it comes to the Undead, the Fist.

Feel free to use and/or edit this model as much as you like, so long as I get the credit I'm due.

Also, for now, I'll be putting up WIP images of other models I decide to make.

Misha: the resourcefulness of this model is just great

I think I'ma do the same for all my Dwarven heroes.

Also, just to clarify before anyone mentions it;
The Archbishop uses the blunt side of his weapon against living targets, as part of a 'do not spill the blood of man' rule, saving the bladed side for the undead and unholy. I based this model almost entirely off of the Paladin, taking plenty of cues for the animations from observing how the Paladin moved. For the most part, this model should be able to work as a Mountain King, though.

Using icons for the models textures is an ingenious idea.
Wish I thought of it earlier, lol.

As for the model itself
It is very well done, I like the idea of the blunt side for living people because of the whole paladin beliefs and all that.
And it just seems very well made.

Welp, it's been a long time... And though you're not likely to want/need any of my thoughts at this point (heck, you don't usually modify anything even when I post the same day it comes out xD), I said I'd do it, so I am.

Anyway, let me just say, if nothing else you should win an award for "Most Creative Texture Use"; utilizing (almost entirely / materially/essentially) only Icons is one of the more impressive feats I've seen. I mean, I was blown away when I realized (seeing some of this stuff) that modders could use BTN's to wrap models with at all... However, you've taken that to an entirely new level. Heck, this'd be a great idea for a special Modeling Contest, I think; really stretching people's creativity TO THE MIGHTY MAX!

In terms of the model itself, it's a reasonably useful little dude; Dwarves are great, the "archbishop" deal is pretty cool-sounding, the Paladin animations, though staid, are proper here... It's not particularly 'stand-out' by itself (disregarding the texture-choice), but that's kinda good for Wc3. (some of the textures, especially the choice of pants & tunic, seem very 'washed-out', just kinda bright. Dunno if that's just the Viewer)

I think, though, it suffers from a certain lack of 'heroic-ness'; many of your Hero models do a good job of this (your Thane is a great example), but this one just seems a bit... tiny, restrained, cramped? Not sure of the word.

Love the wide variety of Attack & Spell animations; those really take the whack (esp. Divine Shield & Resurrection). However, some of his Attacks & his Walk just seemed rather... 'restrained', like I was saying. Hard to describe.

Overall, an interesting but mostly innovative-as-heck model.
