During the Dark Portal its the Russian campaign created in 2004 year. which still amazes with its quality and spectacle. Some of the features in this campaign cannot be seen in today's ones. The plot tells about the events of During the Dark Portal, you will visit the kingdom of Kul Tiras, Lordaeron and Azeroth and prevent the orcs from taking over the Dark Portal.

i agree with you about the russian voices and mission two is work perfect for me but i don t like that the units start with full upgrade i think you should make one upgrade to make it harder and the third spells in the heroes don t work

I'm not going to fix balance 2004 year. Third spells work correctly. Beron third spell works only on UNDEAD. Elda third spell works only on ALLIES WITH NEGATIVE BUFFS.

yo friend i played the first map with Beron and Elda but i can't play the 2 nd one i get bllizzard crash and eror after the cutscene im on 1.3.1 btw any ideas how to fix it ?

One of the main reasons to get permission from the original author (besides respecting their work) is to avoid an awkward situation where multiple people accidentally translate the same campaign and bring it to hive (because presumably the original author would let other people know it is already being translated).

That was 4 months ago. If that guy were to log-on tomorrow and post his own translation of Zuriel's campaign, it would create trouble for the map reviewers, because then they would have to basically decide which one can stay, and which one cannot stay.

Hope we can see more campaigns from the XGM community in the future.

This campaign finished in 2004 year. No way to contact the author. Have you ever had situations where several people posted several translations?
We will solve problems as they come.

Please read the Map Submission Rules. Also, please do not double post, use the edit button instead.
2. Rightful Author
In most circumstances, the map must originally be by you. However if the following conditions apply, you may submit an edited version of someone else's map:
- If you are editing an existing map by someone else you must request permission to create your own version. If the author cannot be reached or does not reply, you have permission to edit the map. However, if the author ever replies or comes back, he/she may request your map to be taken down.
- If the author has made it open source, you may upload your radically edited version of the map.
- The map does not contain any license or message from the author denying you from submitting a version of the map.
- In all cases, you must give credit to the original author.

Have you made any attempt to contact the author?

We want people to make a good effort on getting in touch with people.
Even if he has been inactive for a long period of time, you must make the effort of attempting
to contact him and wait if there'll be any response.
You have to try contacting him.

I just do not understand. You want me to contact someone who has not been 13 years old. Where no one knows, no contacts.
There campaign on site, who uploaded by people, not the author. its okay?

You have to try contacting him.

He has to try of course however a translated version of this also note single maps is okay to have. Im guilty of it didnt translate but did the exact same thing with mathias chronicles. Im sure veterans are aware how that scenario went down.

But if the author isnt available period much like Deicide who made saga of azeroth and whos work and many others were uploaded by herogod when wc3campaigns was resources were salvaged.

Nevertheless old faces can show up example when Deicide let me release saga of azeroth part 2 or dwarf /gnoll campaign creators and medampguys reappearance.

Hell rommel made a ahem..... BRIEF return teasing heart of storms recently then poof.

So theres a chance but itll probably happen years from now and probably will never occur if its not already uploaded here.

My 2 cents and i know om being a hyopcrite because ive opposed editing autos work without permissing in past with the 2 player FORGOTTEN ONES campaign but a translation vs heavy edits to campaigns are very different in my eyes

Also considering the maps for this on the russian site are still loose maps since ive downloaded it in the last year. Its.... unlikely author is around. He would of atleast changed it to campaign format in the last 16 years.

In short id reccomend allow the translated upload thats NOT loose maps. If its substandard or broken send it there. If not keep it around. It should be judged as a 2004 campaign not 2020 standards

If creator ever shows up and is unhappy hive is repectful with moderation enough to remove it without a hastle.

Im not a creator and id defer it towards you with my opinion in consideration shar because your a story creator.

Youre latest release is getting you to razorclaw_X Saga tier with your intertwined campaign saga.

We have arkain Act 3 still to go once undead 2 is polished right? Ooof. baby steps

THE frozen Throne was Released IN 2004
Dont get bent out of shape to minimal to no custom assets.

If its gameplay and maps are as good as Saga of Azeroth another 2004 campaign this campaign is one for the books

This campaign on its russian site are SINGLE maps much like how mathias chronicles were.

One of the first 10 custom campaigns created most likely

Since you brought this up, please:
A credits list in the map description with the names of the authors whose resources you've used is mandatory. That includes models, skins, icons, custom spells, systems. Also, sounds, music and everything outside this site.
Let me remind you: the campaign is 2004 and nothing is stated on the original page. And this traslated campaign, all who make this campaign i write in credits.

  1. -in the prologue, nothing's happening. It's just a flat dirt terrain with some wind on it with a static camera.
  2. This could have been done in the first chapter on a black screen.
  3. -also, chapter one is named chapter two on the loading screen.
  4. -both in the prologue and intro of chapter "2" some transmissions are too fast.
  5. -why Elda Windarrow the Elda Windarrow instead of a rank or hero type?
  6. -would be nice to have QWERTY keys abilities.
  7. -it's absolutely unnecessary to give notes about lore pieces which mostly every Warcraft player knows like ogres joining the horde.
  8. -the map is cramped and linear.
  9. -Frost Arrows doesn't say it slows.
  10. -intended for abilities to be chosen at each level instead of once in 2 levels like in the original game?
  11. -intended for the orcs to attack the neutrals you attack?

  1. -Rak Coldskull should have hero glow. It can simply be added: How to add Hero Glow without Modeling
  2. -the optional quest is actually a main quest.
  3. -the green AI doesn't seem to do too much.

  1. -the human ships are owned by an enemy player.
  2. -the orc ships are allied.
  3. -Negation says it hits 0 targets after learned.
  4. -orcs spawn out of places where their ships are no more. Also, they do it constantly while you don't get more troops. It's OK if you properly micromanage and don't get cluttered in the second phase when you return.
  5. -why are catapults named demolishers?
  6. -Excorcism is pretty useless since skeletons aren't that often and rather weak.
  7. -the interlude should have been part of this map.

  1. -what after level 10? You already have it in this map. What more hero advancement?
  2. -the translation seems to be getting worse.
  3. -so the survivors are just standing there among the dead waiting to be rescued while they aren't even harmed?

  1. -Oktharon asks if Elda wants to remain on the road :|?
  2. -the elven farms are red and the rest of the buildings teal.
  3. -Negation is useless. The enemies don't really use buffs. Here's where the Exorcism would work best.
  4. -the Arcane Towers are not enough to defend your base while you attack one of the orc bases. The balance in this map is unfair to the player especially when the enemy gets Ogres and you don't get Knights.

  1. -it makes no sense that you rescue armed men that just stand there and the enemies are with their backs on them. They don't even say anything to you or your troops to them and they walk forth annoyingly, you having to select them amidst your units.
  2. -OK, the web trapped ones make more sense but then they escape themselves and they also got horses :|
  3. -because the map has many cramped places, some creatures can be attacked or can attack from behind doodads/cliffs.
  4. -the mage hero's healing spell also damages him and if you want to restore his life with Life Drain, you get stunned repeatedly by Warlocks...
  5. -Elda's ranged attack ban spell doesn't disable spell casting as well.

  1. -it's a nice chapter but it's a really basic AoS.
  2. -and it gets imbalanced again, Ogres and you have the same starting units.
  3. -at least if you could repair the towers. Or some temporary summoned units/towers you could buy. At least there are those Ice Guardian runes.
  4. -the quest requirements just shows a number without any text aside from the quest description.
  5. -splitting the heroes works and thank the creator for that mage +150 damage spell so you can snipe barracks.
  6. -when one base remains, they spawn units on and on and you can hardly reach their buildings.
  7. -Elda has no name in the end scene.

  1. -what's the logic of following her steps if she doesn't return in two hours instead of helping her from the start?
  2. -she woke up without even considering what had happened?
  3. -he betrayed her by helping her against the orcs? What reservation? The Lordaeron Alliance would do that to Alterac!?
  4. -the chapter is nice but short and doesn't really use stealth.

  1. -the quest has no name and description
  2. -Runes of Rebirth in a barrels...
  3. -you can't get to the Brood Mother because doodads make the way unpathable.
  4. -items from the AoS chapter are lost. You get the items from a chapter previous to that one.
  5. -Oktharon is very weak.

  1. -a level 3 skeleton remained idle in the far south spawn point.
  2. -because the orc warlock heroes don't have glow they are easily confused with the unit stormreavers.
  3. -it's one of the nicest maps until now.

  1. -a message saying (null) appeared after the orange and brown attacked. It repeats especially when the Blademaster is hit or comes out of Wind Walk.
  2. -would be useful to have a neutral shop to buy permanent items for the Paladin.
  3. -no neutral hostile units in this map at all; even the closest mine is undefended.
  4. -after you destroy their bases, it's annoying that you have to run around after imbecile peons who build great halls all around the map so you have to build towers near mines.
  5. -quest victory message two times.
  6. -another nice chapter.

  1. -no intro cinematic scene
  2. -nothing's really happening in this map; it's a filler; you run around killing two-three units at a time that don't even engage with the villagers. And you can't buy anything because there's no gained gold.

  1. -chapter 18 is totally useless. It's just a camera showing a portal doodad for a few seconds...
  2. -the timer has no title/text.
  3. -every Draenei hero is named Draenei Sage...
  4. -Grom is now level 1 as opposed to 2 in a previous chapter.
  5. -is it intended for the Draenei to attack the orc bases if we're supposed to defend?
  6. -trolls seem to appear right near the fountain of health in the western base.
  7. -the hero's inventory has the items from a level before chapter 18.
  8. -it's not a good idea for 10th level dragons to attack from over the fountain so they could regenerate...
  9. -towards the end from minute 10 and below, the enemy focuses on the Draenor base. The one on the left isn't attacked that much. Dragons only came once and the yellows didn't do much; neither did the red after I attacked them a bit.
