Druid of the Swarm (Reforged)

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
Druid of the Swarm skin of the campaign Warden / Assassin unit, for the Emerald Nightmare Map:

I had to draw that damn spider web myself... why am I doing these things?
Very good voice for her is the Female Demon Hunter Morphed set.
While the Spider Form would be Black Spider creep.

Here's the screenshot with team-colours:

I like how Reforged has a "child-friendly" option but those pants... they ain't leaving much to the imagination lol. Still love the dedication and influx of reforged assets and kudos to the spider web!
Aha, but of course a keen eye will note that the main texture has been altered in... strategic places ;D Worry not though, the pants aren't altered, that would be too far.

But yeah, how else am I to compete with that Captured Night Elf Archer skin?

I like how you made that spider web robe, it looks so damn cool ;)
Thanks!
This type of edit could apply to many things that have no thickness (mostly cloth probably).
So I guess something like a goth skin for Sorceress could be a thing...

I love this model! But a question: I imported everything (including Pauldron (hides the pauldron)), but I still get the same look you get in the pictures - which I guess is the look with pauldrons. I re-named the file path as specified in the read-me, but don't know what's wrong. Do you might know why?

And a separate (but similar) question: Ideally I'd like to only use the main skin + removing pauldrons, since my hero would not go for a "spider-look", but rather an "assassin-look". Adding only the main skin works, but same as above, the pauldron data doesn't do anything. Any way to fix this?

Wait, this is Warcraft III. Shouldn't all druids be male? I'm pretty sure that even in lore today they're all male. Female druids in WoW are for gameplay reasons, while a few female druid NPCs are there again for gameplay reasons, so that female druids wouldn't feel weird.

As far as I can tell there's no reason a druid couldn't be female in the lore. The presence of female druids in game also proves the lore point unless every female druid npc in-game is non-canon which makes no sense.

Yes it didn't exist for the wast majority of their history.
All female druids appeared in the last ~46 years (30y from WC3 to first WoW events + 16y to current WoW, if I get that right).
However there were always exceptions who were tough druidism while being a priestess or warrior.
Then there are cults, let's take Druids of the Fang who were amongst the first to succumb to Emerald Nightmare (I wasn't joking that the lore of EN is as old as WoW).
So a druid of the Swarm is probably amongst those rare cultists, plus she's based on a Hearthstone card and Elerethe Renferal who only became Druid of the Nightmare relatively recently.

Most importantly however it's a sexy model, and I wanted to try this idea of a web cape ;)

Well according to Timeline, RoC happens in year 20, TfT in 22 and BfA in 33, so they seem to only have existed for 11 years :p

Also, if you mean this card Druid of the Swarm I'm pretty sure it's an easter egg reference to Kerrigan rather than an actula druid :p

But all in all an awesome model and a nice conversation.

You confuse me mate!
Do you mean the DON'T pauldrons show up?
Because you said they don't show up, which means it works as intended! :D

Or maybe you mean the cloak part that extends to the shoulders, that would require to make an alpha for the Cloak not pauldrons.

Check the images - these explain better what I want to say :p

Essentially, the "hide pauldron" data doesn't actually hide the pauldrons - so maybe a bug? Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I honestly don't know what.

Oh these aren't pauldrons, it's part of the cloak.
Check my images above to see what the pauldron model looks like.

Umm sorry then I don't understand what this file is supposed to do. Isn't it supposed to "overwrite" something, so that the pauldrons don't show up?

- Cloak + Cloark ORM = Spider cloak
- Main + Main emissive = Re-does the crotch area

But the Pauldron Model doesn't seem to do anything...?

Holy shit you're right!
I made this so long ago guess the pauldrons texture has no need to even exist at all!
Blizzard must have initially planned to make a separate texture file for pauldrons, but then found place in cloak texture.

Thanks a lot for pointing this out! I'm removing it right away!
