A mighty Grimtotem shaman fell in a battle, only to rise more powerful than he ever was! Riding on his terrifying undead Kodo mount he trembles all beneath his hooves. Wielding a massive runeaxe and a macabre shield with a chained corpse of his recent victim, he is called Dreadbull* by his foes and fellow Ebonblade Knight alike.
* (has nothing to do with copious amounts of similar sounding beverage I consumed whilst creating this model, I swear!)

The model itself consists mainly of modified Chaos Kodo and Spirit Walker who's pelvis and turret bones were assigned to the orc rider's. All Tauren animation are somewhat based on Garithos' although very heavily modified. All sorts of armors etc. are just a ton of bits from all over the place. However I made sure that what can be recolored in mdl (geoset color) should be done there to have as few custom textures as possible, so it's bones and horns. The cool glowy stuff is just fresnel colors assigned to cut out materials. Tauren's right side of face is actually his decay bone geoset.


Note: The uploaded version is 1000, however I worked in 1100 and couldn't upload it to Hive, let's hope the downgraded version works well. I also edited the preview image, but not the model after uploading.

I guess spell animation can suffice for spell channel if looping. While the execution is very good: please fix the clipping on his leg and his thigh armor thing on attack I'm setting this to AWAITING UPDATE until the issues above are resolved. I'd...

After contest is finished, because you can't have multiple character models in a contest I believe.

Or at least only one can be judged, so not to confuse Hive users on whish of the contestants did more work, it should be just one character imo.
 
The problem with mounted units that have shorter weapons than the animal is that they should be striking at the side of the mount rather than in front but of course the game doesn't let that happen unless the animation is specifically made that way (the whole model turning to the side).
Well yeah, only mounted spearmen / lancers actually attack in front of the mount, rest attack side. Although I did make sure the weapon appears to be long enough... plus the kodo bites ))

You can have several models in a contest, but you can't have different entries per model. For example, liptonite has made several pirates.
Btw, please, make a living version. It'd be awesome to have a mounted kodo rider (maybe Insanemonster could add one for the caravan mission)

How do you judge 3 separate models as one entry? It's different for mounted units because more models are part of the same one, they work in tandem, have linked animations. The contest was not about master and summoned unit or something, so I'm pretty sure the judging would be selective towards the best model of the three, probably the pirate lady.

Well the only reason to have several models are missiles and something like alternative form (druid or a mecha etc. that is hard to integrate into main model). If you allow people to make an entire faction and be judged as one entry it's just a terrible idea.

I'd also recommend adding devour and spit animation, and perhaps spell slam for certain spells like War Stomp, etc. if the beast feels like stomping the ground 😅
