Dragonblight - PvP Beta 1.6

Dragon Blight PVP (or DotA like) beta is ready for download. This map has many features and is played by choosing a custom hero from wide range oh custom heroes to attack the opposite faction and destroy their main structure located inside their base with custom abilities and items gained from the store. The Humans and Orcs are battling it out for resources and to take control of the land. You gain 2 gold per second and 1 lumber per minute. Play with 6 players or 4, if only have 2 players is not as fun considering some heroes are better in a team.
Some features are:

All Custom Heroes (Every hero made by me)

Capture The Flag system (Created by me)
- When captured you score gold and lumber for your team to spend and 300 exp for your hero.

Custom Dueling system (Created by Nightmare Moon and slightly tweaked by me)
- Just used for some fun in the map, when a duel is running every unit is paused on the map to stop cheating/dying to creeps while the duel continues.

Custom Neutral Bosses (Created by me)
- Wendigo and Nerubian creeps that drop items and give a fair bit of gold.
- They all re-spawn.

This website has helped me with so much I have wanted to give something back. So I hope that this map turns out fun for you guys because I love it. This is still in beta, so there will be more heroes out in later versions and bug fixes. :)

Please don't take the map and change it a bit then try to upload it saying its yours. Give me credit if you used this map or its abilities/heroes and give the creators for the models and spells credit too.

*Added a new hero! The Black Dragon. Tales tell of a dragon that breaths pure shadow and destruction in its path. But worst of all it can clone its self and annihilate his enemies. Can learn Shadow Bolt, Howl of Terror, Shadow Blast and Shadow Clone.
*Some small quick fixes


*Added a fade in at the start of the map.
* Fixed trigger where your character would not be selected at the start of the map.
* Fixed weird bug where some champions cannot enter the shop area.
* Buffed The Escape Artists attack damage and his ability To The Face.
* To the Face: The Escape Artist throws a knife at the enemy's face dealing damage and reducing their armor and 10% attack speed for a short period of time.

Level 2 - 250 damage, 2 armor and lasts 6 seconds.
Level 3 - 325 damage, 3 armor and lasts 7 seconds.

* Added a warning to the mage's Arcange, Fire and Frost mage ability about the items dropping when learning the spell.
* Fixed Goblin Engineer's Turret's health scaling to match the description.

*Tweaks to all heroes:
*Goblin Engineer: Changed Brilliance Chip to be The Goblin Engineer's passive ability and added Jolt in it's place.
-Reduced the stun length on his ability Rocket to 1 second for all ranks from 1/1.5/2/2.5.
-Cooldown on Your Coming With me reduced from 360 seconds to 240 for all ranks.
-Reduced his passive mana regeneration.

*Mage:
*Arcane Mage:
- Base damage increased
- Health increased slightly
- Arcane Blast damage increased significantly and stun length increased from .5 to 1 seconds at all ranks.
-Arcane Overload damage increased to 80/110/160 and cooldown reduced to 100 seconds.
*Fire Mage:
- Increased cooldown on Wrath of Flames from 40 to 60 seconds.
- Rain of Fire ability has been redesigned, rank 1 and rank 2 there is now only 1 wave and rank 3 and 4 there is now 2 waves, down from 9/11/12/15 waves.
- Base health reduced.
*Frost Mage:
- Soothing Cold heal reduced from 250/350/450/550 to 150/250/350/400, with rank 4 the duration of it is now reduced to 10 seconds from 12 and cooldown reduced to 24 from 26.

*The Escape Artist:
- To The Face significantly buffed, increased damage, increased range, increased duration.
- Base attack damage increased.
- Fixed tooltip of Shadow Step to show it's cooldown.

*Over Lord:
- Base health reduced slightly.
- Bonebreaker's stun duration reduced to 1 at all ranks from 1/1.5/2/2.5.

*Dreadlord:
- Bat swarm, number of bats reduced from 20/35/40 to 15/25/35. Damage returned reduced from 75/100/150% to 75% for all ranks, cooldown increased from 80 seconds to 100 seconds.

*Assassin:
- Axe Throw significantly buffed, damage increased to 100/200/300/400 and the cast time reduced from 1 second to 0.5 seconds.
- Base attack damage increased.

*Black Dragon:
- Duration of Howl of Terror has been reduced from 5 to 2 seconds on heroes and from 10 seconds to 5 seconds on units. Cooldown is increased to 18 seconds from 14.
-Base damage increased slightly.

*Witch Hunter:
- Knife Wave damage decreased to 120/220/320/400, cast range reduced to 700.

*Hunter:
- Crypt Fiend: Duration of the Web Shot ability has been reduced to 1/1.5/2 seconds from 2/2.5/3 seconds.

*Steam Mech:
- Base damage increased slightly.

*Added a Beta leaderboard which shows player kills.

*Added a Mid Lane, each side in mid lane has: 5 Melee Fighters, 3 Cavalry, 5 Rangers and 4 Spell Casters.

*Balanced Orc/Human minions damage and health to equal each other.

*The Wendigo and Nerubian in the middle now have a respawn timer of 280 seconds, these will guard a shop that is coming in a future patch.


*Changes to the shops:
-Reduced and increased the price of all items.
-Removed Orb of Frost from the shop. (Can only be gained from killing Wendigo's)
-Removed Chain Mail
-Added 6 new items: Greater Replenishment Potion, Claws of Attack +12, Serathil, Arcanite Shield, Enchanted Shield and Gloves of Speed.





*Hero Tweaks

-Assassin
Removed bleed effect to the Throwing Axe ability and increase its damage.

- Dread Lord.
Removed hunger for blood and added Stone Gargoyle. The Dread Lord places an immoveable gargoyle that can see for 1500 yards and is invisible.

*Middle Lane
- Added 3 Lane towers, each deal heavy damage with fast attack speed. You must destroy the first tower to make the second tower vulnerable and destroy the second to make the thrid tower vulnerable. This is to prevent the extreme pushing early game. e.g If the humans manage to over take the Orcs then the humans will push into the front of the Orc's base, aggroing 10 - 20 more guards and maybe a hero.

- Fixed minor errors. e.g When the humans have been pushed into their base it would say " The Orc's forces have been pushed back."




Hero Tweaks:
* Changed the Dreadlord's Vampiric Poison tooltip. It now alerts the player that it does NOT stack with orbs or orb effects.
* Changed the Meat Shields ultimate.... It not cannot hook towers anymore.

* Added a new Feature ( Streak System By MortAr-) :
- Killing Streak/Multi kill Announcer. This system also gives gold to the person with the final blow (the killer).
- Gold per kill = 210 gold.
- First blood = 420 gold and 5 lumber.
- You do not lose gold when slain.

* Added gold bounty on the Human and Orc units. Its now easier to farm :) .




Hero Patch!

*New hero added!

- The Soul Eater. A demon that can darken the lightest places, destroy the most holy paladins, consume a man's soul within seconds. People say that Lazmer'rool has annihilated angels and devoured protectors of the light effortlessly. Truly a demon to fear. The Soul Eater can learn Soul consume, Annihilate, Hunger and Soul Shatter. His passive starting ability is Chase.




Largish patch, hero tweaks involved, new hero, removed all the leaks (I can find) and some monster fixes

Hero Tweaks and New hero:

- Soul Eater:
* Increased base damage.
* Increased the amount of extra damage you gain from your Intelligence on Annihilate from x2 INT to x3 INT
* Increased base movement speed and health
*Fixed ultimate description bug and increased its damage from
250/300/350 to 350/500/650. The stun time and cooldown are the same.

*New Hero!*

- The Paladin. A Demi god paladin named Ballador the Bright has risen to fight against the enemy forces. Each swing of his blade shoots a searing ball of light that rips a man's soul from his body. Can Learn: Righteous Fury, Reckoning, Divine Shield and Redemption. The Paladins passive ability is Justice.

I think Ballador is a perfect opposite champion to Soul Eater. The Paladin is an auto attacker that helps his team mates with attack damage or a small shield. He is boarder lining support/bruiser (tanky damage dealer) and will be a nice addition to the champions.

Monster tweaks
- Increases the size of collision on all of the Human and Orc units. Previously it was difficult to last hit or target a weak unit when it was in a battle with others surrounding it.

Leaks
- I checked through my triggers and removed all the leaks I could find/see, I am not an expert at leak checking. But all the triggers I have checked and fixed are fine now :).





It may seem like I have forgotten about my map but I have had a SHIT LOAD of school work to do so I apologias for that BUT, I have been trying to work on my map at the same time. In this patch there are Two new heroes, new jungle bosses that now respawn and have a chance to drop a Gold Coin or Lumber, new Guards that help protect the two boss creeps in the center of the map (Use to be one Nerubian and one Wendigo), a unique buff you gain from killing the Nerubian boss creep near the top lane and many minor fixes.

New Heroes!

* The Father: The Failed Experiment. In the year 2125, a well know scientist tried to create the perfect mixture of human and spider-like robot for military use. But the experiment got out and managed to escape through the scientists time travel portal. The portal led straight to Dragon Blight. It is now known as the Father in this time. Can learn Father's Food, Noxious Bite, Cripple and Electrify. The Failed Experiment's starting passive is Spider Like.

* The Marine: The Marine. An expert soldier sent through the time portal to destroy the Father before it destroys the past. This Marine is the best soldier the humans have in 2125 and is ready for anything. Can learn Plasma Grenade, Aim, Head shot and Rockets. His starting ability is Waste Clip.

Jungle Creep Changes

* Changed all of the neutral boss creeps to use different abilities and are not classified as a hero so you cannot gain first blood from them but you do get 250 gold for the kill. All boss creeps in the jungle have a respawn time of around 5 minutes.

* Added a buff you gain from killing the Nerubian boss creep at the center of the map. This buff increases your Health and Mana regen for 2 minutes. This buff gets stronger after 15 minutes, after 30 minutes it reaches the max rank it could be.

The Green buff does not increase the HP/M regen as a percentage, instead it heals/regains 1k health and mana after 2 minutes, 1.5k HP/M at rank two (after 15 minutes) and 2k HP/M at the final rank (after 30 minutes). This works like a regeneration potion would but wont be dispelled when you enter combat.

Last Notes

* I am still currently working adding recipes for stronger items for late game use. New recipe items will be added in the next patch.





Fixed a lot of little bugs/issues that shouldn't of been happening.

Neutral Creeps
* Fixed the Green Buff Giver npc (the nerubian near the top lane). For some stupid reason it wouldn't actually give you the green buff no matter what I did, but it works now. No idea why.

* Some how fixed respawn timers .

Heroes
* The Witch Hunter. She has had an issues I have been trying to fix, for some reason when you try to cast the ability Power Shot the arrow wouldn't shoot at all, instead the arrow would be flying still in front of you. This only seemed to happen later in the game and it is level 4. You can still learn Power Shoot at level 1 but there is only 3 level of this ability and a gap of 6 levels between upgrading it. To make it worth the wait for this ability I have increased the damage slightly.

* The Goblin Engineer. Fixed tool tip for Create Turret, with use you give inaccurate data for the turrets health and damage.

* The Failed Experiment. Changed the buff the enemy gains when The Father uses Noxious Bite on it.

Well I didn't really want it to have 3 (or more) lanes you HAVE to defend. But in saying that I am working on another lane that you can push into the enemies base. Instead of just the bottom lane (where the flags are) I am thinking of adding a lane that meets somewhere in the middle and pushes the main entrance to the base.

Personally, I like triggers. But I am quite new to this as you can tell. I am slowly learning how to not use as much triggers now. Besides that, is there anything else on the map I should be working on or aware of? The more info I can get the better :)
