Diablo

Diablo

Model by: Dan van Ohllus (aka Kuhneghetz)

Descriptions:
The Lord of Terror, he's the leader of the Prime Evils and takes the role as the main antagonist in the popular Diablo games.

Model descriptions:
This custom model is mean to look similar to Diablos's appearence in the custom wc3 map Azeroth Grand Prix, but with large and bulky like body size instead of chibi-styled proportions.

Head is a geomerge from the hidden Diablo Car model.
Body is modified from the Doomguard.
Hands are taken and modified from the Dreadlord.
Spikes on his back and tail are made from scratch.
Animations are from the Dreadlord (with the inclusion of Satyr's death and Warden's stand channel) and most of them have some tweaks and edits.
The external portrait model uses Pit Lord portrait animations.
100% ingame textures.

YOU MUST GIVE ME CREDITS IF YOU USE THIS MODEL IN YOUR MAP!!!

Feel free to edit this model for your projects as long as you credit me for the model you based it from.

MDX files can have any path, though the portrait model must be in the same path as the main model.

Enjoy! ;)

HINTS:

- There's already an icon ingame that fits for this model, but it's hidden so I'll provide the path for that icon:
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNDiabloCar.blp

- For use as a big boss unit, I would recommend that you scale him a bit bigger somewhere from 1.50 to 2.00.

- Suggested voice set for this model is the Pit Lord (TFT version).
There are more possible candidates in World Editor, but this is just my personal suggestion.

Keywords:
diablo, demon, daemon, devil, satan, monster, beast, hell, lord, terror, evil

Love the spikes, the spell channel, the very fitting birth animation and flames in the portrait.
My only real complaint is that I feel the head is just an inch too small and had hoped for a more epic looking spell animation.

EDIT: In my book this deserves a 5/5 - it is beyond awesome and looks so much better than the older Diablo models.

You did a very good job Dan van Ohllus!

Man all the Diablo's look the same :/ Why can't we get a dark, demonic, evil, yet badass Diablo at the same time!

No offense DvO, its great work.

He needs the same sharp and better horn on his beard. I was going to say he has too round and big mouth but seeing the wallpaper below, his mouth is just fine. I dont see how he can be more evil, maybe if the whole skin is darker - that's a good idea and his eyes glowing. The rest is excellent and the whole model follows the details accuaretely. Five years ago there used to be a good spell in the section for his lightning-fire.

I used this in a map for my friend and it worked amazingly! Better than I thought. I dont know why but I thought it was going to have a super wierd attack and was going to walk funny but the way it looked xD But it dident have the problems I thought it would have. Good job.

Is the icon also here? (I mean if you download this, the icon is included in the .zip file?)

Pretty much self explanatory.
