Hello and welcome to my project introduction.
My new Diablo III map is a fast Arena PvP map with many references
to the Diablo III PvP Trailer.


The map is my fourth Diablo III map and has many similarities with my previous maps.

Features:


Heroes:
Player can pick Barbarian, Wizard, Monk, Demon Hunter or Witch Doctor hero to play with.

Triggered Abilities:
All abilities are custom made: You will see awesome special effects within game! From basic killing enemies to powerful spells! Almost all skills are dependent on attributes and have special rune effects.

Large Pool of Skills:
There are 10 skills for each class (total 50). You select 5 skills of 10 for your hero.

Traits:
You can select one of 3 traits for each class. Traits are passive skills. They determine your game considerably.

HeroesPlayable with up to 6 Players:
You can play game with max 6 players! Modes 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, or 3 vs 3.

Gold and Heal Orb drops:
You can heal yourself when you run over a heal orb and you can pick gold to buy items.

Items:
You can buy items in shop to improve your might.

Diablo like Arena:
The arena is almost like the Diablo 3 PvP trailer.


How to play:

At the beginning the host chooses the number of rounds (12,21 or 30 rounds). Each player chooses a hero who starts on level 10. Each player has a preparation room. There the player prepares his hero for the fight in a preparation time. There are 4 building: skills, traits, items, runes.

In the skillshop, there are 10 skills for each class to choose from. Players choose five skills from there. Any skill excludes an other specific skill and is placed in a specific skill slot. All skills have 9 levels. Each player has 10 skill points (lumber section) at the beginning. Each skill costs 1 point per skill level. You can max 3 points to invest in a skill at the beginning.

In the traitshop you choose traits (passive skills). There are 3 traits per class. The first trait point is free. Any other trait levels costs gold. For example, the Wizard selects one from the following traits:

Glass Cannon:
Level 1 - Increases the Damage of most Wizard Skills by 15%, but reduces Armor by -5.
Level 2 - Increases the Damage of most Wizard Skills by 25%, but reduces Armor by -8.
Level 3 - Increases the Damage of most Wizard Skills by 35%, but reduces armor by -11.


Expanded Mind:
Level 1 - Increases the Arcane Power of the Wizard by 200, so you can cast spells more often.
Level 2 - Increases the Arcane Power of the Wizard by 300, so you can cast spells more often.
Level 3 - Increases the Arcane Power of the Wizard by 400, so you can cast spells more often.


Conjured Armor:
Level 1 - Increases the Wizard's Armor by 6, and the Movement Speed by 10%.
Level 2 - Increases the Wizard's Armor by 9, and the Movement Speed by 15%.
Level 3 - Increases the Wizard's Armor by 12, and the Movement Speed by 20%.


Each class has his own traits.

In the itemshop you can buy items. You collect gold throughout the game. Higher-value items costs more gold.

In the runeshop you can buy runes. Runes are relatively inexpensive. Runes increases skills (for example increases skill damage, add a new effect, changed skill effect etc.). A rune increases a specific of the selected skills. You can carry max. 2 runes.

After the preparation round starts the battle round. Every 3 battle rounds all heroes will receive +3 levels, +3 skillpoints, +goldbonus and a new preparation round starts. Here you can invest the collected gold in new items, runes, or trait levels. And you can improve your skills. The maximum hero level is 30. The team which has the most kills at the end wins.

One of the best maps around, and for sure better arena map. I will give you a full review, but before that you have to balance demon hunters. This flameshot has 0 cooldown, mana cost is nothing huge area and can 2 hit anyone.

I will really love to judge and review after :D

A new version is online (v.1.0b).
I have the Barbarian revised. Using Cleave or Warshout he now receives mana (rage) depending on skill level. Also Weapon Throw and Seismic Slam costs no more mana, but they have a higher cooldown. The Molten Arrow skill of Demon Hunter deals normal damage now. Many skills have higher cooldown now. Have fun :)

i(baba) fought with hunter.
i chased after hunter running away.
the round lasted 15min. other early deaths quit game because of never ending round.
i think each round should have a time limit around 5-7min.

repeated charged bolt skill of soceress makes super lag.
is there any solution?

serenty (Xsec invulnerable skill of monk) doesnt work correctly.
hotkey of that skill is E. but doesnt work.
but it is activated by mouse click...

Awsome! I love this map. Please fix the imba witch doctor :( . May be reduce the Regen rate or invisible skill. Just my felling :D

hey :) really nice map, we played it for 3 hours with my friends... So i think effects are really nice, terrain and things like that but i think monk is little bit OP, i can say it after playing against him few times :D and at start of every round all characters have full mana, also barba and monk so i think it will be beter if they wont have full, maybe that will fix monk overpower, and i think barbar should be little bit stronger :D Anyway, GREAT map i love it

This map's epic, play it so fun :D but want to get some blance. (Just my opinion) - sorry about my bad english

1. Wizard: so imba with Hydra. Lolz... combo Hydra - Tornado - Blink is so sick. In early game, maybe witch doctor have summon can chase her, no class can do that O_O. In late game with 1s cooldown blink and fast cooldown hydra, who can match her? :)) (why u don't neft her?)

2. Monk: is too imba 2. Skill cripping wave has slow - push back - damage and regen mana (WTF!!) . Trait endurance + hp (and + speed?, he just need speed to approach and hp to tank, this trait give him two - OMFG !! >.<)
- He got invulnerable and skill Holy aura (OMG!!, who can kill him at late game with his max speed and regen)... He just run around, press Q and skill skill skill, spam spam spam and then with full hp he return and skill and kill, kill, kill. I owned most game with i'm the only one left in my team (at mid, late game)
- Hand of lightning, explosvie pamb, dominate aura -------> no one know this game won't build this skills. This skills are weak :( maybe have someway to make all this skills better.

3. Demon hunter: some skills are bad and only strong at late while it max. -------> she will be the useless at early and mid game with only trap and some small damage.

4. Barbarian: I love this character, he look so cool. But play good is hard. I own some game with cleaver (rune + 40% speed when hit enemy), hammer throw, ground stun and whirlwind. Why Monk can regen mana with Q press only and cancel animation and won’t stop running. When I just press Q and click to ground but can’t run like him. I can’t chase anyone if I’m the only one left
eg. Pro vs Pro, I can’t chase any1. My friend’s good and won’t make me a change to hit cleaver (I can own noob if I have frost sword). I have traits + speed but with no mana, only hope I have’s throw a good hammer ~.~

This thing is so close to a DC. The only thing I see missing is more skills to pick from to add replayability.

Can you make that red fire, laser or whatever spell for sorceress?

Yes at the moment I create the disintegrate spell for the Wizard. I plan to include it into the PvP map and Bastion's Keep.

you're stopping making wc3 maps after Bastion Keep?

I think Bastion's Keep will be my last Wc3 map because I havn't much time for it and Diablo III will be released soon (Beta earlyer in 2011 or 2012). Also Wc3 is, unfortunately, old and dies.

Great map, i have so much fun with friend, 3 v 3 is great. Fast-pace, fun and skill too...

However i think the blink of Mages is kind of too strong, 1 sec cooldown and 300% intel damage in very large area, may be we should decrease the aoe, or the range, or increase the cooldown ( 2s ? )

It's so sad if you won't continue making map after Bastion, but WarIII is 10 year olds now, are there any chance you will continue as a map maker in Starcraft II :)) ?

Btw, after you finish all your map, can you release the unprotected version ? I want to use your models and stuff too much, and may be some1 can continue ? Personally i think the pvp area map has a lot of potential to become popular.

The game was indeed great, but to my observations, I suggest your game needs an AI. since there are people who wants to play solo or practice their skills for the game, and its for you to decide dude.

Your game doesn't lack any possibilities and low managing, I find this section another perfect score! you did well with the making of this game and I really like it, the spells were good, hero set ups are a blast, and the arena looks so similar with the upcoming diablo 3 arena, good job!
