Demigod Forest

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
This was the very first map I made back in 2012. Primarily created just for fun this map has its flaws but is fully playable.

Gameplay
It is played just as a normal melee map. Except for the orange creep spot in the middle there are no
substituted units or items. However, the start locations are fixed and all four different races are locked to their respective corner of the map. Human will always be blue and always start at the blue start location and so on...

Notes
I will happily recieve feedback, but I do not think I will modify this map any further. Just happy to have it uploaded at last.

This map lacks much of everything: symmetry, custom content, purpose. Fixed locations is a bad design for melee type maps. Please take a look at what altered melee is: How to: Create a Full-working Custom Race Custom Race Creation: Advanced Mechanics...

Here are my thoughts about your map.

-The map is not symmetrical, it's a melee map and you may want to give all the players equal chance to resources, camps and more.
-Again it's a melee map and no other creep(Cenarius) should be placed cause it's no really gonna make the map balanced.
-There are lots of choke points and given that the map isn't symmetrical this could cause some major troubles for an unlucky player.
-There are some items that are not really necessary for the gameplay.
-Some of the terrains are just really tight and yeah they can lead a team to an easy ambush.
-There are lots of gaps between the treewall, units like wisps may hide there or scout an enemy players base which is bad.

Those are just my thought and happy modding!

After all this was my very first map since I discovered the World Editor. So yeah, its flaws are clearly visible :) But it was such a nice sight seeing the AI creeping and killing eachother on a map you made yourself!
The red creep spot at the top can only be reached using the goblin zeppelin hired at the bottom or by going through the orcish base. Big advantage for the orcs there.
The climb up to Cenarius' lookout point consists only exclusively of small stone ramps. This will only allow one ground unit at a time and since Cenarius knows cyclone and will almost certainly see you once you get one unit up, all of your ground units will be trapped.
Also, the items you get for killing Cenarius (Serathil, Killmaim and Arcanite Shield) are op.

I will upload my 2 other maps I have as soon as I can. One from 2014 and the other one (still Beta 2018).

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
