Deadliest War v0.8.00 with AI

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Human and Orc will battle in the deadliest arena. Ten heroes will called for destroy his/her opponent. Strategy and Plans are needed to win the war, but if you take the deadliest war, you will battle on one lane and will got victorious or lose.

Pick your hero and battle on three lane (Top/Middle/Bottom), make your strategy to kill opponents, kill enemy creep to collect the gold bounty and EXP, kill opponent hero have more gold bounty and EXP. Destroy Scout, Towers, and reach the Castle or Fortress.

This map inspired from DotA, so most of the gameplays will same as DotA. I've plan to change the gameplay like add new role that DotA doesn't have on the next version.

I think you will boring to play this game, so i add Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the game, but it's still boring because the most gameplay same as DotA. I tried my best, i just want to make my own hero and make my own skills.

This map is like 25 minutes of playing, just destroy the Deathliest Shard on most bottom lane (Human) or most top lane (Orc) and who first kill 40 troops will have Deathliest creeps that stronger along time.

Key Concept
AoS - Basic requirements for a functional AoS were achieved. Some additional info won't hurt in the Quests menu, like some instructions for newbies, that hero to pick first, etc. There are currently only 2 taverns. The heroes seem interesting but they need some improvements since their abilities do not blend well together in terms of synergyo_O. Ex: A magic damage ability and the other spell is a physical resistance breaker. The description of the heroes in the tavern is not really well done. Their abilities and roles should be properly described. Items are fine but you gotta balance their prices, ranging from what they give step by step.

Gameplay
I picked the Damage Reverser hero, the Tauren Chieftain more exactly. His Power Open is an interesting ability but it has an annoying bug. If you cast the subability of the spell, to deal the damage, if cast it from longer range the damage is not dealt even though it allows you to cast it. Only works if you are in very closed range to the targeted opponent.:eek: Either fix that or mention in the tooltip. Levels and cooldowns of each ability are not described. The levels are shown even in melee maps. You gotta work on that. No multiboard, no death timer, no reviving timer. The enemy AI instantly respawns. For human players there are apparently 15 seconds. Bounty received for killing enemy heroes is kinda big, try to balance it. Using a farm as a defensive structure is not best choice if you ask me. The orc burrow is ok but the human farm is not. I mean, think about it, who will shoot something?:pshock: The chickens in the farm? The hero spawning zone is in one place, the shops are in another and the source of regeneration is the main structure? How should someone know that unless you say it or put something that will fit that stuff. A fountain for example. Also, put the spawning zone and the shops and the regeneration source in the same place. Creeps do not benefit from upgrades over time. In late game when heroes are stronger, the creeps will instantly die. Same goes for the defensive structures. They appear to have "Improved Masonry" but it never goes up in level. Several errors in grammar, "to revives" . Moving your hero in the area of the "Endless Shop" which sells powerup tomes, causes your hero to move automatically to the base:psick:. I suppose you made it for the AI but forgot to put some conditions in the trigger. The AI heroes will drop their items out of nowhere sometimes. See here:Imgur.

Terrain & Aesthetics
:peek:Forgive me, but it looks like it was done in 30 minutes. No tile variation. The way you made the river is not really ok, either put it diagonally upon middle or do not put it at all. :pmeh:Aside from that, what's the purpose of this: Imgur since no creeps are going on those two lanes?

Wizardry
The abilities are interesting in mechanic. I appreciate that you tried to combine simple with advanced ones but they need improvement a lot. Learn how to make them synergy.

Final Suggestions
A lot of required details are needed and they are not provided. Try to add them. Improve the heroes, tooltips, balance the price of each item, add a multiboard or least a scoreboard with kills if is too hard to create a multiboard. Add respawning timer to the AI as well since is not ok to instantly come back to life once you kill them. Improve the terrain, do something with those 2 lanes outside the main ones.:pcon:

Put the update log and other details in hidden tags so that it won't take an eternity to scroll down. Try to look at this, if you need help: Description Guide - Maps.

You didn't start so bad, but the map needs a great amount of improvements. As for now, this one is for awaiting update. Also, this: Deadliest War v0.6.00 with AI ? Do not upload the same map/update multiple times. STICK TO THE RULES!

My comments on the other thread:
1. Some heroes don't have hero glow. You can add that: How to add Hero Glow without Modeling
2. Some icons don't have DISBTNs (they look green). You could create the disabled version for them with this: Button Manager v1.8.2
3. Spells should mention every value there needs to: damage, duration etc. even when you learn them not only in the after description. It is not even mentioned what level one has reached and it does not say how many levels there are when you learn them.
4. Recipe item descriptions need to look adequate with text either as a coloured word by word list or as a word under word list.
5. The terrain is flat and only has 2 tiles plus it's nothing different than DotA and other earlier AoSs. Slacking doodad variation.
6. What about a scoreboard?
7. Nothing's happening in the woods.
8. Units might remain on the road because of Magnetic Pull.
9. Ralyn is too powerful; those illusions do everything especially good at destroying towers. That hero has very fast attack and movement speed with only the slippers and probably the aura(?).
10. Max level is 10 and you reach it pretty fast. Only thing left to do is buy items.

It's nice but needs balancing and other work. It looks quite unpolished.

  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
