DDay: Judgement 19.9b 1.30v+ (AI - 0.4)

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.

Six months ago i wanted to play an old map that did't work from 1.23v of Warcraft III.
I made it to work on (1.)1.30++ patch so I can play it with my brother, it's all just fun.
I wanted to integrate an (3.)AI into this map but the AI is at (0.4 version) still needs much, much work.

Have fun. Don't need any praise or anything as such. It's all just nostalgia purposes for others to feel the nostalgia cause the map didn't work for yeeears.

Missed this map so much. I'm glad it's back.

This is NOT MY MAP AND I DON'T TAKE ANY CREDIT IN MAKING IT. I just made it work for patch after 1.30v, Reforged and added simple AI.

Fixed few bugs with terrain in Reforged. Now works great in Reforged.

So i have:

1. Fixed or deleted all JASS code that did't let the map run
2. Updated the environment.
3. Artificial Intelligence (still in beta but fun anyway)
4. Terrains fixes

I Basic

DDay: Judgement
is a warcraft 3 custom map, based on 3 corridors map. You have two sides, Holy Forces and Damned Forces and you can choose which side you want to fight for. Each side has main building (for Holy Forces it's Castle; for Damned Forces it's Black Citadel) and to score a win you have to destroy an opponent's main building. It won't be easy because it is surrounded by three big towers and many more weaker towers. And also creeps, which respawn in ordered time, will try to stop you and of course enemy's hero/es. Maximum number of players is 5vs5; for those who wants to play against AI, will have to wait because DDayteam have started something about that; just be patient.

II Heroes

DDay: Judgement currently has 82 custom-made heroes. You will see many known characters from different universe (Marvel comics, Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy, Starcraft, Warcraft and many more). Team continually works on hero balance, in order that all heroes be equal so you can't say that some hero is weak. Remember that for all in your life you need practice to become good in it, so don't expect that you will win some pro or average dday player after playing three to five games. Practice, practice and only practice.
About hero's spells... Most of them are custom made, because we want to make original hero with original spells. Of course there are Warcraft 3 original spells. For more information I'll suggest you to look into our Heroes database.

III Shops

Items in DDay: Judgement are 80% unique. For more information I'll suggest you to look into our Items database.
You buy items in shops of course, but also you can buy creeps there which will help you in creeping and farming. DDay: Judgement can be hard game for those who are new in it because you don't control only a hero; you will control also creeps which you can by in specific shops. You don't need to use them, but you will certainly lose that game, because your experienced opponent will use them for sure.

IV History

DDay: Judgement history begins in a year of Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos release. Soon after the birth of 3 corridors map (creators: ilPal and Zigzager), man with nickname Toosalty made a spin-off map called 3 Corridors D-DAY and he was it's editor until version 10.5p. That map later involved into DDay Sequel map which was edited by MonkY (also known as DDay's Legend :) ) and Armafire.
After 14.0 version, that map was renamed into D-Day: Judgement and it's main editor was Monky. Map was so popular that it had several millions of fans all around the world. But life has to go on and MonkY had to abandon dday's creation and after his retreat there are several notable editors such as Alex and Daniel, eScpY until 19.0x series. number of map's fans was decreased by bad changes. Dh-Neo became map's editor and he postponed work on his previous project DDay: Deathmatch so he can work on DDay: Judgement and DDay: Xtremme map. Map becomes more popular than before. At the near end of 19.x era map's editor Dh-Neo had to retired (because fans wanted new version but Neo couldn't find the time to update.). After Neo, Markone, current editor, took over the challenging editing job. His first version was 19.9F, he dedicated the map credit to DDayteam as a whole.
So as every other thing on the world even this map continues to evolve and you will see what we are planning to do with it. Enjoy in this map and if you want become part of it by helping to make it even better. :)

Any particular changes from the one we have on the site? Dday:Judgement 20.0fe If not, just making it work for newer patches doesn't cut it. You could ask for that one to be replaced or post such a file on its thread instead. Can you get permission...

Can you get permission from at least the last author?

Awaiting Update.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

Last update from this map was in 2007 and this guy Dday:Judgement 20.0fe isnt the maker he is just someone like me who updated the map but in 2008. No one updated this map from since it cant be planed from 1.23 or 1.24 i have no one to ask. The real makers left the project 10+ years ago. It wasnt playable from patch around 2010. I just made it playable in 1.30++.

Sure, but everyone can open the map and save it on the newest patch to make it work. What else did you do to the map, enhancements anything? Else, there's no point to spam another map thread and this can just be posted in that map's thread.
Also, from what I remember DDay maps are not Tower Defense/Maul but AoS/Aeon of Strife.

Many JASS codes did't let the map open. I modified the JASS code for it to play. There was alot of bugs. No one meant that i opened the map in new version and made it possible to play throught that way. I said it wasnt playable from around 2010? Did't you read upstairs or you just typed quickly without thinking? What ever was the case it doesnt matter.

From around 1.23 version the old Return Bug in JASS coding stopped working. No one fixed it on this map. I know programming so that wasn't hard and there was 3 or 4 more old JASS code that doesnt work on newest patches and i have put Artifical Inteligence (a poor AI) like i wrote upstairs. I updated environment for me and my brothers taste.

I know many people wanted to play this map for many many years but no one did't fix the map. So i just left it here. Nostalgia purposes.

Please read next time when you want to comment on someone post and i wish you a GREAT DAY. Learn to be kind and to listen/read what others have to say/said.

It's a misunderstanding. We shouldn't jump on ignited coal so quickly.

It's good you fixed the JASS, however, you also said you changed something to suit you and your brother. That could mean cheat codes or whatever. It's vague.
AI is optional. This map can be played with people and is supposed to. Plus, you've said it's simple which I assume, not really fun.

The point is we don't want mere edits of existing maps, especially without permission, so we are trying to be extra careful what we approve and what not.

Hello.

There is a map in the section of Arcade maps in DOTA 2, which is called DDAY: Judgment, whose creator is Cactus, is someone from this community the creator? The map is incomplete, it's like a beta version, but it's very good. Hopefully someone can review the map and contribute to its creation since without a doubt, it would be played by many players.

I hope not to break any rule, the link is:
