Dark Numenorean Blade Attachment & Item

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Just felt an urge about making another Lord of the Rings model (from Battle of Middle-Earth: Rise of the Witchking expansion). These are the feared two-handed swords from the Dark Numenoréans, the human servants of the Witchking of Angmar during the fall of Arnor (the kingdom of men in the north). The Dark Numenoréans used Dark Iron to forge their terrible blades, which gave them an outstanding extra-hardness. This ability allowed their blades to penetrate more armors than usual human-forged swords could. The blades are nearly as huge as a human therefor giving the wielder another bonus in close combat due to the longer range. Dark Numenoréans were known to be masters of the blade and forging techniques, and this lethal weapon is the best proof for this!

IMPORTANT:

By downloading this ressource you receive 2 models. The actual model is the attachment version of this leathal blade. The portrait file is the corresponding item of it. It's not a real portrait!

Feel free to use it in any way you want! Have fun with it!

Misha: the handle looks pretty thin comparing to the (swordguard?) making it look pretty flimsy. what you could make is widen the whole sword a bit to give it lill more mass. the current metal texture looks really blurry and undefined, not giving a right feeling to the sword.. what you could do is to try RoC battlenet textures, for a pretty defined metal look
you can also rotate the handle on its axis to the edges face top, bottom, left and right, and then tweak it a lill, but that is optional ^^

Something is wrong:
Category: Human
Dark Numenorean Blade Attachment & Item
I think you can rewrite that wrong :). (Human in Light, not Dark)
That sword is good, I can use for your Fallen Knight.

Like Arthas used Frostmourne (Crused Blade). That story can okay, but I'm not sure others human use dark blade because some swords with dark color are normal swords (like that model) or dark blade if they are undead. Very easy to wrong. :(
I think that model can use for Fallen Knight because so.

nice to hear that :ogre_hurrhurr:

So... mind telling me what is wrong with humans using dark weapons? ~.~
The Dark Numenoreans were minions of Sauron and the Witchking in Lord of the Rings. Here's a good discription about them.

yup. There are enough assassins, murderers, thieves, killers, renegades, mercenaries and such which would certainly not use holy or divine blades.

Numenoreans are dark humans fighting for Sauron. Great model! It will fit my LOTR RPG!
Exactly! thx for your feedback :ogre_hurrhurr:

Looks cool, but it would be a bitch to hold with that stud in the middle.

It's simple, but it looks good, no significant flaws.

3/5.

Wow it looks awesome :) But shouldn't it be BLACK Numeanorean Blade?
no, they were actually looking like ordinary Numenoreans in LOTR, the only difference is that they have slightly different armor, favor dark clothing (mainly black) and that they were fighting for Sauron.
I don't like that thing in the middle of the handle but other than that, Looks nice.. GJ.. :3
Ty :ogre_hurrhurr: That's a matter of taste
