Danath Trollbane

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Danath Trollbane, a guy from Warcraft II. I love making lore heroes and this time I found inspiration to make this guy. Footman like, comes with both decay and dissipate animations, use him as a unit or a hero.
I also did some tweaks and custom made animations, spell throw, spell slam and dissipate animations.
Policount is low, so you don't need to worry about the file size.

I see a small problem with this model. It's good, but a famous hero of old times looks more like a very special footman rather than Danath Trollbane. I think he should have been at least kinda more epic. As of now it's a very decent Footman Veteran model or something. There is a room for improvements in the face department, but it's still very nice.

WELL, I WAS GOING FOR THAT KIND OF TYPE. LIKE SOME SPECIAL FOOTMAN HERO TYPE, AND NOT SOMETHING TOO EPIC.

Oh, alrighty then. You totally captured that feeling you were going for, haha.

Found one more thing that i'm unsure of - the custom animations are cool, but they look kinda weird. I don't get this motion in Slam animation. It's a casual swing with sword, but is he casting a spell or hitting his shield? I realy can't get it. And the Attack-3. Well it just kinda starts with a different frame - not that it was any noticeable ingame though. And he looks so old and helpless because of the way he swings. But maybe it's just me, huh. Anyways, good job. But i do like some of your previous works more.

EDIT: oh i see now, this caps-lock thing is a running gag of sorts? I thought that you were angry for a split second:(

What do you mean by 'wierd'. I think the one is a little fast and other one is slow. I couldn't make them smoother, as I am animating for the first time.
About the Slam animation, it's for animations like shockwave, or just a simple slash move. It's a spell animation. I wasn't sure for the Attack 3 either, but I added it just to different it more from original footman animations. And he IS supposed to look old, at least I imagine him so, I don't know much about Warcraft I, II, nor WoW. I just find pictures and make models for them. :)
Yeah, I got this bug on my tablet with writing. Not mad, don't worry. :)

I'll agree with all the critics JesusHipster has put. This is a great idea, splendid texture choices, it has everything to be an amazing model. But both anatomy and animations make it too attached to a footman. Small units as the footman have quick animations, narrow shoulders, not so powerful attacks, kind of irrelevant deaths, etc. If this is a campaign character, and a hero, it should have slower and epic animations, be taller, stronger build, powerful attack animation, and a bit more dramatic death. To the walk animation, for instance, lowering speed and tweaking a bit could do. And you should tweak his anatomy, so he has more to do with Arthas or Paladin, than with the footman. If you find a whole animation set to use (I see the problem is finding hero animations which have a shield), it would be better. But well, do as you prefer. Also, add a hero glow.
For now, it is Awaiting Update. If anything, let me know.

YEAH, THOUGHT ABOUT THOSE THINGS NOW. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIX THEM, I WILL TRY TO FIND SOME ANIMATIONS FOR HIM. AND WHAT ABOUT THE CUSTOM ONES I MADE? I THINK THEY'RE PORLY MADE AND THAT I SHOULD DELETE THEM.
 
While I agree with JesusHipster's and HappyCockroach's comments, I think this is still of overall approvable quality, except for a few technical issues. If you can fix these, I can approve, but it would still be nice if you worked on the animations.

-Number of sequence extents does not match number of sequences (fix in Magos: Edit > Calculate Extents)
-Two duplicate geoset animations (multiple geoset animations referencing the same geoset)
-Several unused animation tracks
-Duplicate Origin Ref
-Fix the Event Objects, some are out of place, some are still like the footman's...
-Portrait has an unused material

Thank you for getting back to this, but I won't be working on it anymore. It's not a good model and I don't really feel like updating it.
