Dalaran Buildings Doodad Pack

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
I was bored of the few Dalaran buildings variations in the game, so I split all the Dalaran buildings into single models to be able to create unique combinations of structures and add more variety for an entire city of Dalaran buildings.

All models have some animations, i edited a little the stand and death animations to work decently. I decided to keep them because they might come useful, but the models are intended to be used as doodads.

I used the Retera's Matrix Eater tool to do this.

EDIT:

Fixed Crystals glow animation, polished some models

Just rips. Some people might find use for it. Nothing special though.
At first i thought i can use it, because i really love modular assets, it really benefits me for terraining, but then when i downpoaded and viewed this i realized you just basically teared down the dalaran structure to pieces, now i understand what you're trying to do here, but i have to admit most of the pieces in this pack is not really useful (like the structure with walls and the base) the only thing that is useful here is the rounded roofs and the crystals, the rest is basically not applicable as modular asset. Also, this resource doesn't really meet the standards of the model section, like i said earlier you just basically teared the structure and uploaded it, you should atleast do something with it, add animations or particles maybe, or just add something original made by you.

What you said it's true, this is a very simple edit, even though i found some models useable as simple doodad. Also I am not good with 3d modeling, I needed this for my map and i thought of sharing it because maybe someone could find it useful. Anyway your criticism have a point, maybe i will edit some models to improve them.

These are pretty cool, but as is they could use a little bit of polishing, such as deleting unused bones and attachment points (or making attachment points more consistent by adding them to the models that don't have them). You could probably also change the interpolation of all the bone animations from hermite/bezier to linear in Magos Model Editor (or use an automatic tool, but the ones I've used have had problems). Since the models don't have that many vertices, doing this should reduce their file size considerably (relative to their small size).

In the tower with arches, it would also be cool if you made the materials two-sided. It looks a bit weird as one-sided, imo, since you can't see the arches on the other side.

EDIT: Some of the Crystal decorations have bones that aren't properly placed, and because they are billboarded, this will cause a bug in-game where the glows are not where they are supposed to be. You should put the bones in the correct Z height. You should also recalculate their extents using Magos Model Editor, since they are annyoing to drag-select in-game.

The models are intended to be used as doodad, that's the reason i didn't put mutch effort to polishing all animations, bones and other things. Also i did this with Matrix Eater that only allowed me to split the models. Anyway I will try to update them as you suggested. I am not an expert 3d modeler tho so it may take a while
