D&D Cleric

"Clerics channel divine energy to further the will of their God. This energy is often used to heal oneself and one's companions, but it can also be used to harm enemies."
- Dungeon Master

This fellow is loosely based on the Sigmarite War-Priest from Warhammer Fantasy, but that just kind of happened while I was modeling him. The actual artwork I drew as a mockup depicted him wearing a chainmail coif and a lot less plate armor.

This model uses all in-game textures

This pack includes
- Cleric (Caster)
- Cleric (Combat)

Keywords: Cleric, paladin, holy, priest, zealot, sigmar, warhammer, rpg, healer, human, deacon, guardian, temple, guard, rpg, dungeons, and, dragons, pool, of, radiance, hero

Changes
- Updated Mace to Battle-Cleric's Torch
- Updated Shield from Buckler to Diablo II style Gothic Shield
- Rounded head a bit more
- Improved glowing effects
- Added flameless variant
- Replaced shield with libram
- Final update coming soon, still deciding on Weapon/Shield combo the combat variant

General Frank
Works in-game, performs appropriately and is a good addition to the model section. Excellent work!

Very nice model. If you could double check his head would be great. looks ''cuby'' at some parts, not nicely round. :)

BUT.... why the torch? :( Can we have a Badass Hammer wielding model in addition as well please? :D
Sigmar style.

Dude-- I've spent this entire day cranking out other variants of this guy because-- I can't get him right x_x

Right now I've got a version with improved pauldrons, lighter armour (leather boots, no gauntlets) and a massive book instead of a shield

I might update this pack to simply have two versions - Cleric (Caster) and Cleric (Fighter)
Same animations, different gear - likely no helmet on either one

Here's what I'm thinking of, but I'm on the fence because the shield didn't turn out too good..

If someone has any suggestions for the weapon and shield, post some pics

The older version will make a return once I've fixed it - there were some issues with the shield and torch
If anyone has any suggestions on what kind of shield/mace combo I should use, it'd be a great help

*Edit
I just looked up and saw a suggestion, I must be getting older (21)

...but now it's not really a D&D cleric. Cleric's in D&D don't really use librams, they use shields...

Ah, curses - my only experience with Clerics comes directly from Warhammer Fantasy and my wildly limited time in Pool of Radiance (F*ck Ghouls, man. They can paralyze you.)

Any designs or lessons regarding the Cleric will be most welcome

The most classic weapon style for D&D clerics would be a flanged mace, morningstar or flail paired with a shield. Not a super heavy one like a big tanky fighter, but not a tiny buckler either.

Until the more recent editions, Clerics were restricted in weapon type to non-edged weapons, as apparently it was looked down upon for a servant of the Gods to use weapons which drew blood (never cared for that excuse, myself, but eh), so they were most often depicted with like maces, war hammers, two-handed mauls, clubs, staves... Any sort of blunt instrument works, really.

Think along the lines of the Diablo III Crusader. They're basically D&D Clerics on steroids. XD
