CStrike 0.3c

This is a WarCraft III version of Counter-Strike (Source).

It contains many maps (cs_, de_, ctf_, fy_) offering the typical cs gameplay as you know it. There are additionally several mods available (see gameplay).

Also features:
- Many standard cs and some new weapons (like Rocket Launcher) that you have to aim with
- HEs, flashbangs and smoke nades
- Quake Sounds
...and much more!


Normal Play
[de_: Bomb/Defusal] Ts have to plant the bomb on a bomb site (usually there are two) and prevent the CTs from defusing it for ~35 seconds.
[cs_: Hostage Rescue] CTs have to rescue some hostages from the Ts and bring them to the safe zone.
[fy_: Fight Yard] Team deathmatch in a small arena.
[ctf_: Capture the Flag] Capture the other team's flag and return it to urs.

Zombie Mod
Shortly after the beginning of each round a random player is transformed into a zombie.
He has to infect the other players by hitting them with his claws while the others are trying to exterminate all zombies.


Hide'n'Seek Mod
The terrorists are camouflaged as plants, crates and other things and are hiding from the CTs which have to kill them while the round lasts.
But the terrorists additionally become invisible when hurt. (e.g. 40/100 HP -> 60% transcluent)

Gattling Mod

Players spawn with 5000 hit points and receive 16k every round.
All weapons shoot 15 bullets at the same time, have to cooldown or reload time and infinite ammo.


GunGame Mod (Not yet available)
Applies the fy_ gameplay to all maps.
Instead of buying weapons players receive a certain weapon according to their level, starting either from the weakest pistol or the biggest gun (reverse GunGame).
For every one or two kills players gain a level.
The first one to reach the highest level (including HE and knife kill) wins the game.




[Primary weapons]
Pistols: Glock, USP, Deagle, Elites
Pistols are very useful as complementary of your primary weapon or if you just run out of ammo or have to reload.
E.g.: You have a weapon with a high stray effect but see someone camping far away. Then you are lucky if you have
a deagle at hand, which is a very accurate and strong weapon.

[Secondary weapons]
Sub-Machine-Guns: TMP (with double magazines), MP5
Rifles: AK47, M4A1, AWP
Machine Guns: m249


[New, non-cs weapons]
Flamethrower, Plasma Gun, Rocket Launcher, Pulverizer
These weapons can be forbidden by the admin (host).
They can't be used by default in Zombie Mod and Hide'n'Seek.

Ive played similar CS wc3 versions of this, where objective is....yeah your standard CS.
If you look at this game on how similar isit to the real one, its PRETTY CLOSE.
Very weird thing is that..... although u improved alot of what other CS maps lacked, e.g Terrain, Maps that close or are the same as the real one, weapon shooting animation etc. BUT this map is very poor in gameplay. Seems harsh but it is kinda true.
1- there ain't a buy button at the start, instead it is replaced with.. 4 eggy stuff shop.
2- Grenade explode on impact??? it takes less than 1 sec to explode on hitting the ground. I killed lots of ppl but just throwing a lame grenade coz they ain't got time to dodge it.
3- Map not hidden and replaced with like a black screen. It would be better if changed to a radar like thingy, which ive seen in older CS games. Made the game much more challenging.
4- Everything is kinda... smallish lol. It is a minor thing, but i feel small X_X
5- Camera not permanently locked? I dunno about this but, i would like it LOCKED DOWN :D

Thats all the bad points i given, but in terms of GOOD POINTS, they are really GOOD.
Example is the terrain, which has lots of effort put it. It is way WAY TOO SIMILARLY AWESOME. It would be nice if it improved in Gameplay, then this map would pwns all other wc3 CS maps.

Thanks for your feedback Gantoris!
I changed some of the things you mentioned:
1) I made a buy menu which can be entered by pressing ESC
2) Grenades take 2.2 secs to explode now (I think that's long enough)

About the minimap:
I know those radar-type minimaps from other maps, but I don't really like it when I don't see where on the (whole) map I am.
The current minimap on the other hand is pretty useless since everything is so small/the whole map so big. I'll see what I can do.

About the camera:
The camera is locked to ur soldier by default, but you can change it completely to your wishes by using those commands (F9 ingame):
-cam free Unlock cam
-cam lock Lock cam to soldier
-cam close/far/medium/x Set cam distance
Setting the cam far away makes everything seem to be small, but it is the only way to have an overview over the map and be able to see enemies soon (and not only when they are standing right in front of you).

hmm,already tested,nice,got zombiemod on,but can add this more better(if can)
add a spell book inside got Regroup Team,or GoGoGo these sound others,i hope u can add it.my friend keep scold me i killed him -.-

EDIT:cannot remove bots?

When you add bots via "-bot add" you can remove them with "-bot rem (T/CT/all)".
But they shouldn't be used anyway in the current version..
I will improve them in the future. (I don't know what is causing some of their bugs.. but I'll figure that out)

I was thinking about radio commands already, but I don't know where I should put the button, since I don't want to put the other things (like reload, knife etc) into a spellbook. :D

You misunderstood me, that's exactly what I think ;-)
But there is just no room for another button...
Maybe I use the ESC key, though it is already used for the buy menu.

In 0.3b or 0.3c (I don't remember) the amount of bullets fired is adjusted to the player count. (More players -> less bullets)
If you don't receive a message telling you how many bullets there are gonna be used try the new version.
But it might still lag bith many players (especially with bots which spam bullets all the time).
I don't think I can improve the missle system any further.. it just has to check if doodads or higher ground are colliding with the bullets at some point which needs alot of CPU.

Deathmatch mode is a good idea though! I'll add that next together with GunGame :)

Official Basic Review of V3H -


Terrain 10+1/10 - Near perfect... +1 for exactness and lighting
Concept & Idea 6/10 - It is a copy of another game however done nicely.
Triggers 0/10 - Do not feel like rebuilding the mpq... so 0 for now.
Object Data 5/10 - Needs a shop and more types of doable things.
Overall Map Data 6/10 - Could use a custom interface and needs better models.
Estimated effort spent into this 9/10 - You put much time and effort into this.
Playability & Improveable 7/10 - It is fun however it needs more.

Overall Mark - 44/70 - Approved. =)

Any questions about the review, just ask and I will answer.

Suggestions -
If I can see the triggers/code you will recieve a higher mark.
Ask for an advanced review after giving a uncorrupted version to me.
Different types of turrets and more guns.
Physics system for climbing and jumping buildings? (Similar to combat zone)
Options to change the affect of gameplay?
(First person shooters, third person, modify constants of the map such as ammo limit or damage of guns and more?)
Think it is done in counter-strike. ^
