Console

Another random doodad from the UNSC Halcyon cruiser. Could be used as a console in any sci-fi map.


As with the other ones, the textures are shared between all the halo doodads, hence the size will be much smaller than it appears since you only have to import the textures once.

The actual models size is about 10kb.

@CW: The texture makes use of the large resolution through it's small details; many parts like the forerunner console textures would be blurred out if i reduced it due to their small size. Increasing compression rate is a good idea though, i did set it at 75 but didn't dare to go any lower in fear of loosing too much quality.

@IamTheReaper: Yes i did, it is what i tried to resemble, right?
About 40% of the textures in the "covenant.blp" are based on screenshotted images from halo CE, edited and overlayed in photoshop to fit into warcraft. I was not a very good skinner at the time i did this, so i always used the screenshot as a base. However, there is no THW policy for this as long as it is uploaded as a model texture, rather than a "skin", and as long as it isn't a direct rip from another game. By all right so, since a large part of the current model resources in the database would be rejected if there was such a rule.

No worries! I can totally understand :D Especially if its going to be seen close up in perhaps cinematics or FPS maps :)
 
no actually, i think you are perfectly right on the compression, it's just that i don't bother to update all the uploads again xD

Did you rip these from halo? If you did... skills!!! :) If you didn't, skills in modelling! AWESOME JOB!!! Looks exactly like the ones from halo!
