Command -&- Conquer: Red Alert

Embrace the mighty power of two super powers locked in battle to determine the fate of all mandkind. Use gritty, hi-tech weaponry as you plan your moves, build your base and forces, and pave the road to a new world order! In this version I have fixed many things. Figure out what. You can also CHOOSE YOUR FACTION! Instead of being forced on either team, all you do is press a button, and you get started! Have fun, and PLEASE COMMENT TO LET ME KNOW WHAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT!!!

Version 19.0 will have a major change, making it more enjoyable.

Tips/Tactics
As you may know, there are some noobs out there, and I am giving them tips.
1.) Most people do not build AA Guns, SAM Sites, or Rocket Infantry. Those 3 things, are the key to defending yourself against air units.
2.)Super weapons super weapons super weapons. When someone has built a super weapon, or is going to, build an ion cannon right away. Ion Cannons can kill anything one shot one kill, which is very useful at keeping the enemy from having any SW's.
3.)Never use all of one unit. Sure, mass chronos and mammoths seem fine, but what if the enemy put together a better force mixed with lots of units? Some great combos would be infantry, heavy vehicles, and any type of artillery to back them up.
4.)Use your smarts and common sense because that'll make you win.

oh lol, thats suppose to be like that, becuase for some reason, Japan gets bored. So i made him a mini show thing. Anyway, i wish the moderators of maps would bring up my maps faster, because i have a version 18.3, which has a lot of improvements.

How bout this, why don't you "try" to make a better map? ok? I'd love to see how ****ed up it is, just like you, noob. get a life. and if you have one(which i doubt it) live it. You yourself gets a 1/10, no, -1000000/10

I played your game ,I)eath2u4me and here is my results:

Good sides:
- Some models were good, like tanks
- This game, reminds me old good Red Alert

Bad sides:
- Some buildings were afwul
- All pictures doesn't fit the game
- In the beginning, dogs were too imba, and they had "wanderer ability", is it purpose or not?
- Repair doesn't work, it says "Out of range"
- Some units, like heavy tanks have stupid sounds(heavy tank's sound was sorceress :D)
- And finaly, I took the race of soviets, I build soviet units and structures, but then I realize that I was USA? Ehh?

Suggestion: Create your own or download somewhere pictures to your game, try to make this game more balance, try to change some structures models.

BTW, "majority of people love this map" ? I still haven't see any people, that writes here comment, and loves your map. I only see high rate, but well, rate doesn't matter, because it is easy to manipulate.

In the end, please, don't over reaction, like you last time did. It is stupid that you start blame other people when you see criticism about your own game.

It is the only way to make your game even better and if they don't give a reason why your map was boring, you should ask them!

Good luck improving your map.

Hmmmm, i see your points. I had made the perfect version of my map until...well... i had to reset my computer and lose every file on it...... But now, im trying to remake the map from what you have downloaded. I got some stuff fixed, but now much. Ill take your ideas into consideration.

This game should have more red alert like gathering of Ore and when you put in models, either you put in all models are you don't because it makes the quality look bad and the tool tips should look better because i like tooltips with general info about the unit that just explain the unit like Blizzard Would (Quality of Work)

yes yes yes. i know its fishy, and i want to know why. my friend, zt2211, has also made a cnc map, and his got over 18k downloads. so whats up with all this? and just for the record, it wasnt me. i wouldnt flood my computer with 16,000 maps becuase that would take all my memory and make my computer lagg sooooooo much.

I have a few suggestions for your map. If you follow each of them, I sincerely believe it will make your map more enjoyable. Of course, these are just friendly suggestions; think of them as such.

#1: Correct your grammar mistakes! You have improved in this area since your last map, but there is still a large number of grammar errors. Don't use internet slang consistently in your map to describe units or to explain functions. Capitalize, use punctuation, and check your spelling for EVERYTHING! Doing this would clearly show how much time and effort you put into the project. You would be surprised to know how much correct grammar improves a map's reception.

#2: Balance, balance, balance. You need to, in my personal opinion, completely rework all of the units and structures in the game so that they at least show the same strengths and weaknesses as the original units in Red Alert. For example, the V2 Rocket in RA could cause a large amount of damage, had a long range, and had a slow reload. In your map, V2 rockets can kill almost ANY ground unit in one shot, have a huge range and AoE, and a huge reload time. Consider revising your units a bit.

#3: Clarify the factions and sides. The map is a bit confusing to me, even after playing it a few times. The players seem to be placed in thoroughly odd locations that are inconsistently well protected or extremely vulnerable. I suggest cleaning up the game functions just a bit.

Again, these are just friendly suggestions. I hope you find them useful!

It was fun, for awhile.

Mammoth Tanks & Chrono tanks are very balanced.

But noobs have a major disadvantage.
If you've played before, you can pretty much own.
Maybe you should add a Chrono Shift?
Or a Chrono Sphere? (The floating orb thing every once in awhile).

Well, I have noticed that noobs are noob...lol. Because me and my friend, Tomb_King, took on six people, just us two vs six others. 3 have played the actually red alert game, so they shoulda had advantages on us, and one actually played the map before. The map really uses common sense and great tactics if you want to win. Since im generous, ill hand out some tips in the update.

it's a fun map ..but really big in it's size ....use heavy lock to decrease the size of the map plz... 'cause the dling speed is slow !

btw if this is a great map how come nobody hosts this game . 39 ratings and 17k downloads is alot it means u guys really like the map lol

I just lost any respect I once had for you upon reading that.

Aaaanyway, it gets a 4/10 from me, for bad English in tooltips, the Mirage tank (seriously, there are no damn trees on the whole map. The old mirage tank didn't have evasion, it was just invisible to the naked eye.), and the flat, simple, doodad-less terrain.

Well sorry if you lost respect, it was just a bad day for me when i was reading what anteep said, but it does not matter. anyway, the english i dont really care about, but i am working on it, which will be my next update, and the doodads, i just rushed my map so soon since my last update which put ore into the game. thanks for the critisizm, because i want all that i can get. i will take your thoughts into consideration.

wow dude, your dumb. Sorry, but why would you want to. Im glad that you like my map that much that you feel like if you put your name as creator, people would like you more. Besides, i can report you on battle.net, without knowing you bnet name, i can report you on hive, and i doubt hive would even let you upload a map thats not even yours, because you didnt even make the map.


Now, since i am nice, I will let you do one of the following:
1.) Give me full credit of the edited/stolen map, and give yourslef only editor credit

2.)Dont even try to steal my map at all, and forget all about it. because i can have BNet remove all copies of my map.

Sorry, but who the hell would want to steal this map? It's terrible:

-grammar / spelling errors everywhere
-unsuitable icons / pictures
-unsuitable models; WC3 models and custom ones mixed
-no explanations whatsoever
-at the start, the "choose game style" is absolutely explanatory
-terrain is horrible; no doodads other than ore - which is gold in its picture but then Rock Raiders crystals in the model
-tool tips are TERRIBLE; "kill a unit", never even changed the food tool tip
-what the HELL is the farm for - which the MAIN building can build
-unsuitable sound sets
-taking the boundaries off makes the map end suddenly in a very ugly way

Sorry, but in total, this would get a 2.

EDIT:nevermind, my good terrain got deleted. It was set in europe btw. And my map isn't all that bad.

sure, as long as you let people know that you edited the map, with my permission, and still keep all credit originally in the map. btw, does this map error for anybody? or is it just me, cause, this is only map i have of mine that server splits everyone, the makes me crash...

oh, and i appreciate your likingness of my map coke and other people.

edit:eek:h, and if people have any suggestions on map, please tell me them, although im pretty sure everything in map is defintely perfect and fine, excpet like one word mispelled lol.

actually u know wat... i m just gonna work on a desert storm map.... btw 8/10 for this map gj!! 10/10 if u fix the gay aircraft bug.... because aircraft is useless in this version... i like the older vers of this map XD.... p.s i rated 5/5 for ur older version on epicwar.com O_O

lol, sorry bout that swatzica, however its spelled. i keep forgetting to remove from my map, and i havnt gotten a chance to work on my map again yet. i have 1 day left before im ungrounded, and coke, what do u mean exactly by the aircraft bug? anyways, and suggestions people have, ill fixup map and add ur ideas.

Hi, thanks for this nice map.
A few things: ehm
-grammar errors are annoying
-the map is a bit crude on height levels, doodads
-you can't really use ships on the map
-ehm, silly neutral heroes in the middle :p
-some people are annoyed with the chrono tank flash. Maybe you should disable the chrono flash, or implement a chrono machine superweapon
Otherwise the game is great and we are loving it :) Looking forward to the next version.

interesting map but it doesnt have much in common with red alert. the grahics for the particle cannon is good but that isnt red alert at all, that is generals.(so is the scud storm.) the build system is generals like. the construction yard looks like the one in the first command and conquer. if you shall create a red alert map please create something that doesnt blend all command and conquer serieses but focuses on red alert. the iron curtain doesnt seem to work. i would suggest a cooldown for the super weapons instead of mana.(that makes it more correct compared to what it is based on.)
