Map Info:

You must help a storm drake defend her nest agaisnt the island's inhabitants who will stop at nothing to attack the eggs.
When no eggs are left you will lose.

By presssing the buttons of QWEASDZXC the player can command the dragon to spit lightning at the respectively marked area. Firing at a blank spot will damage her eggs.

- Time passes over the course of a round
- Added some monster documentation
- Fixed some damage values that werent working as intended
- Cut the description down to size



Author's notes:

This is actually a very straight forward map that requires just 9 buttons and a bit of button mashing, but people wouldnt stop complaining about the description.
Thus I had no choice but to write this sale speech which is alot of false advcertising. But it is a good description, which decides how good the map is in the end.
Makes you wonder how many people even read the description.

1) description needs to be improved

It says everything you need to know.

2) the game play should be explained more, fore example if you press bad a botton you will destroy your own nest

Ive added that to the level 1 tip.

3) i give like 10 test and the level 3 is imposible to pass, it destroy all nest in 1 sec.

Its now been fixed.

4) The spawn units is always the same, not random, you can memorice the spawn
in level 1:
2 units spawns in D
and then 1 in E
random will be more interesting.

It is random. Its only the same because you were playing via editor and had fixed random seed turned on.

Cool Mini game. Simple, short but fun and well polished.

I suppose you could add a leaderboard displaying how many nests are remaining, or how many rounds remaining or how many seconds until the day ends. Some sort of information to look at. And you could add a preview image.

Your map is good whatsoever and judging through gameplay and statistics, I approved but you forgot the most important thing on a map, rules or should I say how to play.

Not all of us would understand what is the bad and what is the good, you somehow left players for dead and force them to rely on what to kill and what to do, so I end up killing everything on the map and could understand what is the 'nest'? much to my realization, the 'frogs' are the nest.

I suggest you make out messages explaining what to protect and who to kill, at first I thought both frogs and spiders are the enemies and the whole land is the nest and should not be overrun, and that's the problem so make up a couple of rules before players would really understand what's going on.

Another is that if messages fail and players didn't do a damn about it, make it up on a quest menu, that way they read every vital information on this mini-game. Not to mention what are the coordinates of each QWEASFZXC stands for.

For now need's fix, please make up those revisions I've said, and lastly make at least a decent map description its lacking a row for screen shots, how to play, and any else would suffice.

Why on earth would you rate a map based on how its selling speech was written? Are you serious?

Twilight and all users are free to rate a map, how to rate it is up to every one, and some users count the description or map info to rate

You are missing the point. Im asking him how his trigger is better than whats already in place.

Maps must have adequate spelling and grammar. Maps must contain a valid author and map name. Maps must contain a proper description of what the map is about.

It is adequete. This is a game with 9 buttons total and very straight forward mechanics. The thee lines in the load screen is more than enough to teach you everything you need to know about this map.

Can't you be more logical? If I were a normal person playing this what would those button will ever do? so add an information for 3 types: 1st that info you did, 2nd how to play and 3rd changelog. it would be better if you say it like this in the how to play part:
Press button upon map coordinates such as:

Q - left top
W - middle top
E - right top
A - left middle etc.

And also show an information about the changelog in-game. What do you think people will just play this once like version 1 only?

and about Twilight, this is an open forum he is free to state that tiggers can be better, and also he took the time to put decent info, also he can make a mistake, we are all here to learn
(i am not triggerer, is chinese to me, as far i can see Twilight triggers are diferent from yours,and that is interesting, i cant say what is better)

Except that his triggers are worse and don't do anything different than the current system except create an extra leak every second or so.

dude no offence but we are here to advise you on how to make your map better and attractive.If you dont take advises and act inapropiate to other users then just wait until rejection or approvement

You cant give advice without explaining. By saying your description sucks doesn't mean anything if you don't explain how it sucks.

I do take advice, Im merely asking commenters to explain their points so I at least understand them.

You realise this is 40ish kb map with 9 control buttons total. How much of a description can you possibly have without adding tons of useless details.
I am not being selfish, I merely saying that a simple map needs a simple description. If you had seen the links provided yopu would know those templates are far too complex for a map of this scale.

I havce read the rules, thank you. Its just in the past people actually understood that complex descriptions are uneccesary for a map of this size hence I have a problem.

For the map, the day timer is too unrealistic, the timer above doesn't even move.
The nests aren't regenerating full hp when the day ends.

The rounds are measured by kill count, I could do it such that each kill moves the clock forward a little but it could end up looking very unnatural. Ill give it a go and see.

I actually decided not to do this for 1 major reason. Its competes for space with the QWEASDZXC tags and as well as makes the nest and monsters much harder to see.

I could measure the whole health/stats thing in number of hits. That would probably be alot cleaner.


1) with credits, thats mean you and a contact stuff (important for bug detection)
2) with the change log as Orcnet recommended
3) maybe some stuff separate, to no put all in one charter
like
4) game play
5) Creeps explanations / hints, the stuff of de description in the f9

Very uneccessary save for the creep stats.

Now description is very nice, good work +rep

I died a little when you said this is better. Its confusing and completely misinformative. Did you even read what it said?

Good Mapidea.

But you should use for the Hotkey C a difference Spell then canalize(or whatever you use),
becouz not in every wc3-version c is standarthotkey for this spell. Use a other spell, which hotkey is not c and modified it.

For now, i must click every time on K, when C needed :(



Also maybe a trigered system for change hotkeys were be cool.

For example to make the hotkey "Z" to a "Y" will be exelent, becouz i have y under A, not Z.


Offtopic: Who know, which version i have(And dont look in my profile)? xD
